I inhale. I exhale. Smoke is pretty.
"Gimme" Asia makes grabby hands at me. I laugh and pass her the joint. She takes a couple hits then stares at the sky. I look too, admiring the dying sunset.
We're sitting at the park by my house. There's a large pond with ducks and lily pads floating along the surface. I'm sitting cross legged on the grass facing Asia next to a path by the pond.
"Also fuck Lucas" Asia says loudly. I roll by eyes a little but agree. Lucas is my boyfriend. Or ex boyfriend. Not really sure right now.
"Yeah fuck him" I sigh. Asia nods vigorously.
"Get a girlfriend or something" she says. I smile at Asia's dumb gay self.
"Who bruh"
"Umm" Asia looks around like a girlfriend for me is just gonna appear next to us.
"That girl" she points to a blond girl in the distance, walking in our direction along the path.
"No not a random person dumbass" I hold my hand out and Asia passes me the joint.
As the girl gets closer I notice she's really pretty. The closer she comes the more her freckles become visible. She's carrying a cute tote bag and wearing a top with stars on it.

"Fucking shit she's pretty" Asia says my thoughts aloud.
I nod, "Ask her to join us" I whisper as she gets closer.
"No you do it, it's your future girlfriend" Asia snaps back.
"Fine whore" I watch the girl get closer until she's nearly passed us. She gives me a small smile.
"Do you wanna smoke with us?" I ask out loud. She stops and turns with a smile.
"Fuck yeah, you guys are hella pretty" she says and walks over to us, sitting next to me.
"Thank you" me and Asia say at the same time.
I pass her the joint. "What's your name?"
"Lyla, what's yours?" she responds, taking a long hit.
"I'm Skyler"
"I'm Asia"
"What school do you guys go to?" Lyla asks.
"Santa Cruz high" I respond.
Lylas eyes widen, "No way, Monday's my first day going there"
"Are you for real, did you just move her?" I ask excitedly.
"Yeah from Portland, Oregon" Lyla says.
"No shittt" Asia says.
Lyla smiles, "Do you guys drink"
We do. Not often, but mostly at parties and shit.
"Yeah" Asia responds.
Lyla grabs her bag and pulls out a bottle of Sky vodka.
"Fuck yes" Asia laughs.
"Oh, I have more, trust" Lyla says, placing another bottle, this one peach lemonade Smirnoff, in front of me.
"Skyler's gonna be happy" Asia says, and I laugh because peach lemonade vodka is my absolute favorite.
"This is my favorite Smirnoff flavor too" Lyla says to me.
"And I got chasers" Lyla hands me an Arizona tea.
"You're literally my new favorite person" I joke, totally not joking, and Lyla laughs. Asia grabs the Sky vodka with no hesitation, unscrews the cap, and takes a big swig.
"Goddamn" me and Lyla laugh. She hands me the Smirnoff.
