prologue

We open to a boy riding a school bus.

Y/N POV

I get off at my stop and began walking home. As the rain continues to pour I stopped in front of the crosswalk. I looked into the puddle in front of me to see some kind of creature behind me.

Y/N: what the?!

I turned around to see nothing.

*Honk*

I turned around to see that I could go.

Y/N: oh sorry!!!

I walked home and opened the door.

Mom: welcome home!!

I rushed upstairs to my room and began to work on my homework.

As I was putting my homework in my bag after finishing it my eyes landed on the desk mirror. I saw the creature again. I turned around and it was gone.

Y/N: what was that? I'm not hallucinating am I?

I checked the clock and realized it was 8pm.

Y/N: huh guess I really was procrastinating my homework if it took this long.

I got into bed and drifted asleep.

I woke up in a ambulance lavished in blue.

???: Welcome to the velvet room. this place exists between dream and reality, mind and matter.

Igor: I am Igor and I am delighted to make your acquaintance.

I noticed a girl next to him.

Igor: this is Jane.

Jane: oh Hi there it's so great to meet you.

Y/N: where am I? And where are we going?!!

Igor: all will be answered in due time.

*Beep beep*

I woke up to my alarm clock and immediately begin lazily searching for the off switch.

Mom: it's time to wake up for school!

Y/N: okay.

I got and made my way to school.

Gossiping student: did you hear Gabe is getting plastic surgery. What that gabe?

Y/N: that's odd gabe has never been concerned about his appearance. I'll check it out later.

After school

I went outside into the hallway to try and find Gabe I found him looking at himself in the mirror in the bathroom.

I decided to hide and watch him.

I heard Gabes voice.

Gabe: hey let me out of here!!!

?Gabe: but I'm having so much fun. Besides I'm fixing your life for you.

I walked into the bathroom and waited for ? Gabe to leave.

I immediately walked up to the mirror and was greeted by Gabe.

Gabe: thank god someone's here!!

Y/N: what happened?!!

Gabe: I dunno a couple days ago I walked into the bathroom and something pulled inside this mirror and it looked like me.

Y/N: I'm gonna try and get you out somehow.
