"Fizz, get up," my cousin, Ariel, groaned. "It's like one in the afternoon; your sleeping patterns are unhealthy."

"Can I use the birthday week excuse just one more time?" I mumbled, rolling over in my bed to face the wall.

"I mean you can, but I'm just going to throw things at you until you wake up again," Ari responded.

I slowly sat up and glared at her. She was always giving me a hard time, but then again, my sleeping patterns were actually horrendous.

"That's not a pretty face," she cooed sarcastically, and I threw a pillow at her.

"Oh hush up," she continued. "I made you a grilled cheese."

That was enough to fully pull me out of bed, and soon I was sat at the little kitchen table in the apartment my cousin and I shared, chomping on a grilled cheese.

"I had Michael text people about your party tomorrow," Ari started, sitting across from me and setting her can of Coke on the table.

"You did not," I blurted out, putting my lunch down. "He's going to invite a whole bunch of people I don't even know! You know how much I hate that dude."

"Oh come on, he said he wouldn't do that this time," Ari replied, defending her bright haired boyfriend.

"Alright," I said, going back to eating. Suddenly, I laughed. "The amount of things that he screwed up last year, though."

"Shut up, you love him the same as I do," Ari insisted, laughing along with me.

"Yeah, okay," I brushed it off, finishing my lunch.

"Who do we love now?" an Australian accent asked from the doorway.

My eyes widened and Ari turned her head. I heard her gasp a little, and she got up and walked over to her boyfriend.

"What. Did. You. Do?" she asked slowly, her gaze never leaving Michael's head.

"You're dead dude," I taunted him.

"You hush," Ari said. "Now Michael, honey, why has all of outer space shat on your head?"

"Because I had some free time last night," Michael responded proudly.

"Do you not like Cliffy's hair, Ari?" I coaxed and Ari shook her head.

"I freaking love it," she admitted, sending a bit of a shock through both me and Michael.

The initial shock wore off and Michael smiled. Ari usually gave him crap for constantly dyeing his hair. I would just lightly pick on him... Lightly.

"Oh hey," Michael started, "I meant to see which one of you would come shopping for party stuff with me?"

"Nah," Ari said, looking over to me.

"Nah," I mimicked.

"Such lazy children," Michael mumbled, and soon he was out the door.
