*TW* Self-harm in this chapter

It took us a couple hours to unload the truck, Austin and ginny chose their rooms leaving me with the room infront of the house, the only reason I didn't complain was because it was the only one you could climb onto the room from

"How's the new place baby?" My dad's gruff voice asks through the phone, my legs fall down the side of the roof while I sit on the edge looking at the stars

"It's nice, in a good town" I respond vaguely, truth is is beautiful, its the type of place you could have your forever home in, that's what Austin says, everytime he moves he hopes it's the place we stay permanently, our forever home

"How's your mom?" He's regular with checking up on everyone, somehow it never hurts less telling him things I know he wants to be apart of

"Shes good dad, I think she made friends with the lady across the street not even an hour after we got here so I'm guessing in about a week she'll be running the entire town" I chuckle slightly

"Knowing your mom she's probably after the state" even though he let's out a small laugh, his sentence triggers the tears

"Do you know when your leaving yet?" I ask softly bringing my free hand to wipe my eyes

"I don't know baby girl, you know I wish more than anything that I was with you right?" I take a deep breath knowing there's not much time left and sobbing isn't going to do anything but make him feel worse

"I know dad I just wish, God I just wish I was doing all these things with you" I hear him sniff through the line making me heart squeeze

"Can I come visit you soon? Would that be okay?" I ask changing the subject slightly

"Of course, there's nothing I'd want more" I open my mouth to reply but the mumbled voices on the other line stops me knowing what's coming

"Baby I gotta go now, but I love you alright? More than anything"

"I love you too dad" I sniff trying to hold my sob at bay, once the line goes dead I put my phone to the side and drop my head into my hands as I silently sob. It takes me a while to get my breathing to regulate before I slowly make my way down into my room, once I turn to close  my window I notice a boy across the street standing in the driveway watching me. I lean forward raising my eyebrows slightly, he gives me a small smile before shaking his head and skating down the road

"Peach I got you a present" mom says cheery coming into my room, but her smile drops when she notices my eyes

"What's wrong baby?" She asks dropping the cloths in her hand onto the bed before bringing my face into her hands gently

"I just spoke to dad" my voice cracks slightly as I try to hold in my sob, her own expression saddens at the mention of him

"Can I go visit him soon, please?" I ask wipping away the fee tears that stream down my cheecks

"Baby I will take you when ever you want to alright?" She asks tucking my hair behind my ears before placing one of her hands on my cheek, I give a small nod but don't even attempt at a smile knowing  how pathetic it would look

"You look just like him you know that? Everyday you start acting more like him and I can't be more proud of you."

I take a deep breath wiping away my tears and slowly when I'm no longer a total mess I turn back to her

"Alright what's my present" mom gives me a small smile before reaching onto the bed and holding out a long sleeve crop top and skirt I can almost guarantee was mine before she stole it
