Thread of Fate

-Third Person-

At 3 in the morning, Alex and Lea decided to accompany Nath to her temporary house with her temporary family. They went out as quietly and secretly as possible. They also made it quick because today is the day wherein they will fly back to Manila. All they did there is to assure that Tatay Gibo and Nanay Marie will no longer work hard because ES will help them.

Nath bid her second family goodbye. It was very emotional but they tried to be strong because they all know that this will not be the last time they will see each other. Exactly 5 in the morning, they all returned to the resort without anyone noticing.

Lea and Alex went back to their own suites to pack their bags while Nath went back to her work to bid goodbye to her workmates—and of course, to her boss, even though it's not that important.

3 hours before the flight, Lea went out with her luggage. She was the only one who was outside because the other executives were all inside their rooms, still packing. Matthew and the other pilot assisted her in putting her bag in the plane's compartment.

If there's one thing she doesn't forget, that is to be grateful even in the simplest acts. "Thank you! Are you all ready to leave?" She asked them with a smile.

"I will be lying, ma'am if I told you that I am ready. This place is so beautiful. We really enjoyed staying here. Thank you for bringing us here, ma'am."

"We'll be back for sure. It's too bitin for me also. Next time, I'll bring my daughter here too." Not far from their location, she saw Nath and Mr. Gutierrez talking. She decided to go there because she now knows what kind of a man he is. "Please excuse me, gents, I'll just go somewhere."

"Go ahead, ma'am." They both said in unison. They were left there to check the condition of the plane.

Lea walked in the direction of Nath without them knowing. She tried to listen to their conversation.

"I said I'm leaving, sir," Nath told him directly.

"Why are you leaving me, babe?"

"Don't call me that, Mark. It's disgusting." Nath was about to leave when he pulled her arms causing her to fall on his lap.

"Bakit ba mainit ang ulo mo? Dahil ba wala pang nangyayari sa atin? Gusto mo ba mamaya?" He was touching her sensually and she's shaking. Lea's hand turned into fist when she heard that.

Nathalie exerted all of her remaining strength to escape him. "You're so disgusting! Once I get out of here, I will make sure that you will pay for all the abuse you did to me." She put emphasis on every word she mentioned but Mark just laughed at her.

"And who do you think would believe you? I am Mark Gutierrez, a very well-known businessman not only in Palawan, eh ikaw? Who are you?" He mocked her.

"Oh! I haven't told you pa pala na I have a sister who is affluent enough to put you behind bars."

Mark snapped his fingers as if something just dawns on him. "I knew it! You are really crazy! From the moment I saw you, I just knew it because of the way you speak. English? Tapos ikaw? Maganda ka lang talaga kaya kita pinag-trabaho." He scoffs. "Okay ganito na lang—uhmm—just tell me where is your sister... Or better, tell her to come and pick you up right here and now because otherwise, it's just your imagination speaking."

Nath thinks thrice if she will call her Ate Lea, but...

"I am now picking her up. I am now here. So, that doesn't make her crazy, right?" Lea appeared from the back.

"Ms. Solomon, what are you doing here?"

"Didn't you hear what I just said? I said I am picking my sister up." She maintains a straight face. Mark's eyes went from Lea to Nathalie.
