"yeah i know, come with me," gracie said, gesturing to the door. "i may not like you or your family but i'm not letting you go home alone wasted. come on."
charlotte let gracie take ahold of her cold hand as the edited the bath room and weaved through the party. it was hard to pretended she didn't notice the eyes that widened when the two passed by, and knowing that a picture would definitely be taken as they exited.
the two got outside and gracie dropped charlottes hand to call a lift. as they waited outside in the cold, both shivering and keeping their heads down, charlotte got a text from sadie.

just as charlotte was tying up a response, gracie spoke and completely stole her attention.
"i can just drop you off at your place, wherever that is. or wherever you wanna go."
charlotte sighed, "i don't know, i'm pretty far from here," she slurred.
"oh," gracie replied, just as her driver had arrived. gracie helped charlotte into the back, placing her hands on her back delicately. the sat beside her and turned to her, "where to then, parker?"
"a gas station. the middle of a street i really don't care, i'm not loving the idea of driving with you."
gracie rolled her eyes, "not like i'm loving this either. y'know what, adam could you just take us to mine," gracie whispered to her driver as she leaned over to him. he nodded and pulled into the street.
it wasn't long before charlotte got bored of sitting in silence for the whole drive and fell asleep, leaving gracie alone with her thoughts. as adam pulled up to gracie's apartment, get stomach dropped. how the fuck would her parents react if they found out charlotte parker was at her house.
