"I'm so dead, aren't I?" Kiri gave you a shrug, "I wouldn't be too scared, I think she kinda likes you." Your head had never spun so fast. "Your delusional, the first time she saw me she shot me. Remember I'm supposed to be dead." You pointed to the spot Mrs. Sully had touched earlier. Kiri just giggled at you before going back to weaving. "I heard her and father talking this morning before I saw you. You want to come with us, why?" You gave out a chortle. "If I'm spotted here not only will Quaritch think you guys are still here hiding but it will be on sight. I'll have so many holes through me in an instant." Kiri shifted uncomfortably as she kept her eyes on her poncho. There was stillness in the room, you didn't move as you watched Kiri's hands move. You just stared as her hands moved in their own rhythm. You stayed that way for a long time, you didn't think about anything you just watched Kiri. She didn't seem to mind you either, she just continued to do what she had been doing earlier as if you weren't there. You were both just there in the moment, it was a serene quiet.
The Marui's entrance was opened with a forceful arm, the cloth hit the side of the wall. There was Mr. Sully he looked furious he approached you grabbing your arm, "Follow." You had no other choice as his arm wrapped around your entire upper arm. It was firm and tight but it was still careful as to not hurt you. After he took you away from his Marui he spun you to be in front of him. "You told Neytiri you were spotted?!" As soon as you saw him pissed you knew Mrs. Sully had told him what you had said. "I was. I remembered it when I was weaving." Mrs. Sully had his hands on his waist making his stance wider. "Are you sure? Because.." He gave a defeated sigh. "We will bring you if we have to. And if you fall behind-"
"I won't! I'll do everything and more! I'll do anything you ask! Anything!" You felt your chest start to rise faster, and your breathing was quickening as your excitement grew. "Okay, okay. I'll talk with Neytiri some more." You could feel your face grow with excitement. "I'm sure she'll be happy to win that argument." Mr. Sully whispered to himself but you heard him clearly. "Wait, Kiri said she heard you two talking this morning... Did she want to bring me before?" Mr. Sully's shoulders slumped. "Yes." You raised your eyebrow in confusion. "Why didn't you?"
"I wanted to protect my family. I didn't want another child to watch. Mine are already a handful." You looked straight into his eyes trying to see if there was any other underlying reason but you couldn't find any falter in his body language. "But I'm not a child. I'm nineteen." He nodded his head, "and yet here you would still be perceived as such, on earth you may be seen as an adult but here you are still a child." Mr. Sully seemed to have calmed completely from before. You could still feel your lungs expanding and collapsing fast. "How am I still a child?" You shifted in your stance at the question, you were nineteen mentally and physically how could you be perceived as a child? "You haven't undergone any training much less any rights of passage. You are clueless about life here," you were going to protest but he caught you trying to speak and kept talking in the same tone he was before. "It's alright to start new there is nothing wrong about learning to adapt to a different lifestyle." You looked away from him briefly, he was right. Everything was new to you, the only thing you had learned how to do so far was starting to weave. "Why don't you head back to the Marui with Kiri?" He turned you back to the hut-like home before giving you a smile. You wanted to continue the conversation and ask more questions but you figured there would be more time for that later. As you walked back Mr. Sully parted ways with you and went in a different direction.
It had been about a week and a half, today was the day of your departure. The Sullys made their way to what they called The Tree Of Souls. Since you weren't one of the people you weren't able to set foot there, you however were sat on top of a large tree just watching from afar. You watched the Sullys, you knew this would be hard on them, this was their home. Everyone was reluctant to leave, not all of them showed their emotions as much as the others but being near them the entire week and a half you had the time to watch them and grow closer to them. Mr. Sully was the one who you were watching now as his large shoulder wear was being put onto a male Na'vi by Mo'at.
Watching him raise his knife up in the arm and turning to Mr. Sully who was still on his knees was looking up at him, even from afar you could tell this was difficult for him. With a yell, the male Na'vi brought his knife down. His hand paused as he hadn't cut Mr. Sully but as he took his hand away with a sharp pace you would later see had indeed given him a small cut. They started to walk in your direction, the people moved out of their way as they walked through. When they got to you, you just followed the silently. Mrs. Sully had been crying as she passed you. You didn't know what to do but when you reached the cliff where the Ikran had been waiting you went up to Mr. Sully. As he mounted his Ikran he noticed you waiting. He then leaned down to you. "I must've forgotten to tell you, you won't be riding with me." Your face felt slightly hotter realizing your mistake in assuming you would be flying with Mr. Sully. "I already have a heavy load on my Ikran and it will be a long flight." You gave a small 'oh' and looked to the others. There were only three other options as Tuk was riding with her mom. "You'll be with Neteyam." He pointed towards his eldest son. Though you had been around the Sullys for a week and a half you hadn't heard his name. He had never told you his name either due to you not asking upon first meeting him. You didn't ask due to feeling too embarrassed, you gave Mr. Sully a nod before walking over to him. Neteyam.
