"Mother, this is (Y/N). She offered to help us with the ponchos." Your eye still didn't meet with hers your ear stung as you had them bent down. "It is rude not to look someone in the eye." Looking up you saw her eyes stuck on you, they looked as if they were fierce and direct. You couldn't open your mouth to say anything as your throat had been caught. "Do you know how to weave?" You just shook your head, Mrs. Sully seemed to take a moment before replying back again. "Watch us first, we'll teach you. Then you may try and be of use." Nodding you silently sat closer to them making sure you wouldn't miss a thing.
It was a long process with many steps but both Kiri and her mother would explain things in a reasonable light. Sometimes they didn't always agree and would teach you different techniques, neither of them was coherently wrong but having to keep up with both styles proved to be difficult. In the end, you decided to pay more heed to Mrs. Sully's style. She was the one you needed to talk to. What better way to start talking to her than you ask for help? When you started you started strong. You were able to understand how to start and progress nicely. While you weaved you started to get lost in your thoughts.
Quaritch couldn't know if you were alive or not right? Mr. Sully was probably correct in that sense. There was no way he could have known, he was too focused on Mrs. Sully when you ran. Zdinarsk might've remembered getting hit but you didn't know for certain. For all, you knew she could've blacked out. There was no way they knew where you were. Not if Zdinarsk couldn't see who hit her. Not when you all ran at a panicked speed. Not when you shot back making them duck for cover. Not when all gunfire ceased for just a moment allowing for Quaritch to speak to Mrs. Sully. Not when you froze hearing his voice, not when you saw Mansk clearly seeing you being shaken by Tuk. Not when you turned your back and ran..... Mansk? Your memory was as clear as day he saw you as he began to reload his AR. He had his gun aimed at you before Tuk shook you out of your terror-stricken state. Running behind a tree was what had made Mansk not fire as he lost you. But he knew, and he had to have told Quaritch.
"(Y/N)?" Kiri's voice snapped you out of your daze, she was close to you now with her arm on your shoulder. "Oh Kiri, sorry, I was just um-" Mrs. Sully entered the Marui, you hadn't even noticed she'd left you had been so lost. She sat next to you, and you tried avoiding her gaze but couldn't when remembering her tone with you just earlier. "Does it hurt?" You had no idea what she was talking about but it was clear she was talking to you as her eyes didn't move from yours. "What?" She then touched the side of your face, she trailed her hand to your ear as you got the memo. "Oh, uh no not too much." You looked away and fought the urge to hide the mark. Your ears felt on fire within the next second. "Ouch!" You almost swatted Mrs. Sully's hand away from your ear but you stopped your arm before it made any contact with her. "You have good reflects, my arrow was supposed to go here." She pointed at the center of your forehead. You swallowed hard, it wasn't your reflexes that saved you it was sheer luck.
"(Y/N) what were you thinking about?" Kiri's annoyed tone was heard as she looked at her smirking mother. You hoped Mrs. Sully had just been kidding. She most likely wasn't. "I- well..." You were speechless, you could barely for a sentence. Mrs. Sully had shaken you up more than before not to mention how would you bring up what you remembered now? Your ear stung again, but it was less painful this time. You quickly looked over at Mrs. Sully as she tended to your ear, she looked so focused. She looked calm much different than your first encounter. She looked so mesmerized as she was taking great care of your ear, instead of just wrapping it up she took the time to grab some ointments. She tended to your ear gently, careful to not disturb the healing already in progress.
"I was just remembering yesterday... when I was running" There was a pause, you just needed to spit the words out. You were sure that Mrs. Sully would hear you out. "What happened then is forgiven. You made the right choice to help us." Kiri was sitting close to you, she had started to continue her weaving her poncho looked beautiful with different colors of green spread throughout. "Thank you..." The poncho wasn't as full as yours and Mrs. Sully's, hers was woven more in a loose style. "Actually a thank you might not be in order." Kiri gave you a perplexed and concerned look. "Why?" You scratched behind the ear Mrs. Sully wasn't tending to. "I was spotted. It was when I was running with Tuk. I turned and fired a few shots before I-." Your face flushed a bit to admit the next part in front of a warrior like Mrs. Sully. "Before I froze. Mansk saw me help Tuk." You were explaining so fast you hadn't noticed Mrs. Sully had stopped putting ointments on your ear. "He saw me, which mean-" you were cut off fast. "The demon knows your here! With us!?" Mrs. Sully stood up quickly, she rose to her feet so fast you almost didn't see her leave the Marui. She was out fast leaving you and Kiri alone. You were dumbfounded, you knew it would get a reaction out of her but you didn't think she'd leave so fast you thought you'd be able to talk to her and convince her to let you join her family. But now you weren't even sure you would be able to take refuge in High Camp.
