It was a boring ass day for you, you just started your senior year and weren't too giddy bout having to figure out what you were going to do for the rest of your life.  Having friends go in and out your life,kinda of left you feeling purposeless. How come everyone around you seemed to have their shit together but you?

And the pressure of working and getting good grades was eating you up. Wanting an escape you were going to ask one of your friends but none of them could because they had more important things to do. After that major disappointment, you thought to yourself " man why does everyone have a special person who cares about them but i don't " sighing to yourself softly as you walk inside the school halls.

Your days a blur as you go in and out of class still thinking about the same thought from earlier "everyone has someone that would do anything for them but me? Well I don't have shit! no one would ever change their plans or do anything out of the ordinary for me, I just don't matter that much." Your thoughts seem to consume you. Tears threatening to come out until " Excuse me (L/n) are you even listening, find you a partner this instant."

Now you're just embarrassed, face red not daring to say a word. "Umm I-." "Does anyone else not have a partner!!" The teacher boomed.  "Um I'm sorry professor Levine, but I don't" " well Virgil what are you waiting for, then pair up!" Professors Levine barked back.

Virgil seem to get the memo and grabbed his stuff taking the desk next to you. "Uh Hey I'm Virgil, Virgil Hawkins and you."Virgil nervously spat out with his hand open for a shake. You cautiously looked down at his hand and then him.He was a mess, a cute mess though with his hand rubbing the back of his neck to mask the nervousness that was peeking out. "Oh yeah, I'm y/n" taking his hand to shake.

The tension between you two seemed to subsided. " so what are we supposed to do for this 'project'?"  "Well it's actually kinda simple you just pair up with someone and see if you can learn from the others life." Virgil said uninterested. This made you pause "so basically like we're switching lives?" "Yeah guess that's one way to put it."
"How long are we supposed to do this for" you say crossing your arms. "(Y/n) we're you even listening?" Virgil said incredulously. "Well I have work so there's not much to learn, okay" you retort back getting defensive. "Well geez, about 2 weeks that's it." "Cool." Then it was just awkward silence you really thought y'all were gonna be good friends but he just got under your skin. You knew these next two weeks were probably going to be a walk in hell.
You watch as he took out he phone after a notification went off; you wanted to know what he was looking at so you peaked over leaning on your desk, just as you were about to see " Excuse me Professor Levine I have to use to the bathroom" blurted out Virgil.
"Go ahead" they respond agitated continuing to grade paper.

He slowly got out and left the room, leaving you finish work for other classes.

30 minutes pass by and no sign of him. Everyone else seems to forget but you couldn't, you were thinking to yourself " how the hell am I supposed to do the project with such a damn flaky partner" growling in frustration you back into your seat. The bell rings and you walk out to check your phone.
