2: The Challenge

He looked at the pair next to us with a smile, wearing the same surprise on his face as me. My gaze returned to his face, and just as he started looking at me again, I let a small smile grow across my face.

"Did you want to come sit?" He asked me and touched the spot next to him on the log.

"Oh yeah! I mean, of course, thank you," I took a seat next to him and my body was hot, whether it was from the fire or him I'm not sure. He gave me a little smile.

"I think my brother, likes your sister," He was looking at them again, trying to decide if he said the right thing. Seeming content with that statement he turned back to me.

"I think my sister, likes your brother," We both laughed and watched them flirt with little laughs flying through the air.

"Do you think we should give them some alone time?" He asked and tilted his head, raising his eyebrows to signal this wasn't a question as much as a direction.

"Yes, I would hate to interrupt whatever it is they're about to do," He let out a little laugh. He then slowly touched my back, attempting to guide me up.

"Follow me," He then pushed my back in a bit, signaling me to get up. I turned to my sister and gave her an encouraging nod to keep having fun.

"Be safe," she called as we walked away. 

"Okay," turning my focus back to Jake, "Where to?" He's just smiling at me before grabbing my hand.

"It's a surprise," He said and started pulling me along the path.

Jake POV:

My brother and I were chatting after dinner, he was always rambling about some new thing he found or some connection between the trees.

"And did you see how the roots send signals to one another like they are-" Tom was rambling but I couldn't take it anymore.

"Get a grip man, be quiet," I cut him off. 

"How about we talk about something better? Like the way Neytiri was staring at you all of dinner?" I nudged him with my shoulder.

"Shut it. It's more than that," Tom gave me that look that told me he wanted her. I'm excited for him. 

He then brought the conversation back around, "What about you dude? I saw the way you were looking at her sister," He put me in a chokehold and messed up my hair. I threw him off me as I was laughing.

"It's not even like that," I said, lying through my teeth. 

Neytiri's sister was perfect. The genes in that family were insane. Every move she made drew me in, her laugh and smile were impossible to ignore and she had a body that made me drool. For almost a year now it's been nothing besides cordial chit-chat, we've hardly spoken unless our siblings wanted to talk to each other.

"Come on, don't lie to me," My brother smirked at me. I just shoved him as we sat down at the firepit.

"Okay. Maybe I like her a little bit," I held my fingers up slightly apart to demonstrate, he gave me a look that said how skeptical he was but decided to drop it anyway.

All of a sudden I saw her and Neytiri coming up to us. Holy shit, she was intoxicating. I exchanged a panicked look with Tom as we both shut up quickly. Neytiri and Tom exchanged hellos, and I saw her sister nervously looking at me. I asked if she wanted to sit by me and she looked relieved. The second she sat down I became extra aware of the heat from her body and I tried to fight the hard-on that was starting. We made some polite chit-chat about our siblings and I saw her smile up close and personal. Of course, it was beautiful, every time I see her I just realize how much more beautiful she is.
