- CHAPTER SIXTEEN -

I looked up to see Harry's empty desk again.

Three minutes till the bell.

Recalling his smile, I sighed to myself.

I wished to see him again.

He suddenly slipped in about thirty seconds before the bell.

Still clothed in all black with the occasional spike, I saw through his image.

I couldn't help but giggle to myself over the fact that he still worried about being late.

Believe me, he tried playing it cool... But I saw his eyes full of relief as he sat in his desk before the bell sounded.

He glanced behind him, and made quick eye contact with me.

I didn't know whether we were angry at each other or just playing a game.

I turned my head quickly, trying to prove a point.

Although I wanted to take him back automatically, I was no bodies second choice... Or third.

But... Am I in a competition with myself?

Together, apart, together, apart.

There goes our never ending cycle again.

Our teacher walked in cheerfully as I rolled my eyes at her giddiness.

"Miss Riley... Do we have a problem?" She questioned suddenly.

I slid down in my seat.

"Um, me? No... um," I stuttered shamefully.

"Why were you rolling your eyes?" She asked with persistence.

I felt my cheeks blush of fire red as I sat in shock over the fact that she actually addressed my action.

"I, just, um..."

"Probably because she wanted you to start the lesson," Harry budded in with anger.

"Excuse me?" Our teacher snapped, turning her attention towards Harry.

Suddenly my sign of disrespect didn't seem so big anymore.

"I haven't got all day," he muttered.

She covered her face in a shocked expression as she pointed her finger to her right, leading out the door.

"Principles office," she demanded, her eyes charcoal black.

Harry scoffed to himself with a smirk as he stood up from his desk.

"Yes ma'am," he said with sarcasm.

He submissively began to walk out the doorway before I stood up quickly.

"I should be the one going," I admitted with guilt.

"I don't want you going," my teacher responded with anger.

The entire class stared up to me before glancing over to Harry.

"I'm... I'm going," I replied with a gulp.

The entire class gasped in awe.

I grabbed up my notebook and began to walk out the door as I bumped my shoulder against Harry's with an angry scoff.

He followed behind me with a shut of the door.

The last glance I got of my teacher was a look of absolute confusion.

He walked beside me with his hands in his pockets.

We didnt speak.

I breathed heavily, releasing the anger I felt.
