Scott's POV:

I was walking to school with my brother Xornoth in silence when he suddenly said "Hey did you hear some new kids are coming to school today?"

It took me a bit to respond since our walks together are normally quite "Oh erm.. no?" I replied with a confused and/or shocked look on my face.

"Well..." He started "I'd heard that their siblings and come from the Ocean kingdom."

"Hmm... Isn't that kinda far from here?" I asked.

"I don't think that stopped Pix. I mean Pixandra is farther than the Ocean kingdom from here." Xornoth commented.

Well I couldn't argue there "Okay fair enough." I said. We reached the school gates before the bell rings like usual and greeted our friend group which consisted of the twins Gem From Crystal Cliffs and Fwip from Grimland , Pix from Pixandra, then we have Sausage from the Mythlands, Kathrine from House Blossom who is convinced she can talk to nature or something, Shubble from the Undergrove a gnome, Joey from The Lost Empire who has parrot wings and mostly uses them for showing off he can fly, I'm guessing my brother Xornoth has a crush on Joey because he acts all nervous and flustered whenever he talks to Joey and I swear he's terrible at hiding it, Joel is from Mazalea  and he is short, and obviously Me and Xornoth from Riverdale the 'Elf brothers' as Joey says

" Hi y'all!" Calls Joel from the group waving at us I wave back and join the group and started talking about whatever when The announcements came on

"We have two new students today so please treat them with respect, and I'll call two people up at random to come show one of them around." Oh yeah I forgot that since new students here are more rare than finding more that one emerald in a regular cave besides the new school years that the vice principal is forced to tell everyone because what happens is everyone looks at the person like they committed mass murder, and the person leaves.

"You wanna make a bet that one of us will be picked to show them around during lunch?" Kathrine said. There was a mix a 'sure' and 'yes' amongst the group and we started betting
"$5 dollars on that one of us will get picked." Gem said
"I'll add on $10" Xornoth said
"I'll put $5 on no one gets picked." Said Fwip. We all finished placing our bets and in the end Me, Xornoth, Joey, Gem, and Pix said 'yes one of us will get picked.' and Fwip, Sausage, Katherine, and Shubble said 'no, one of us won't get picked.' and Joel didn't want to bet. giving us a total of $25 that one of us will be picked and $15 on no we won't get picked. By that time the bell rang ughh math first period you love to hate it.

"Good luck!" I heard Joey shout from away I looked in his direction and saw he was already showing off his wings to everyone.

"You too!" Me and Xornoth said in sync

"Jinx!" I yelled at Xornoth ,"you do one piece of my homework Xornoth!" I said in a teasing manner

"yeah, yeah I get it." Xornoth said annoyed then we parted ways to get to classes.
