"Angela? Angela, do you copy?" A walkie-talkie positioned next to the bedpost emitted the voice of a young male.

In response, a teenage girl filled with a racing heart and surging adrenaline dashed towards the device. With swift movements, she seized the walkie-talkie and promptly replied, "I copy, Mikey. Over." Angela managed to utter these words amidst her breaths coming in short gasps.

"We urgently request your presence as we embark on a search mission for Will. Are you able to accompany us? Over." Mike's voice carried a tone of urgency, his eyes darting toward the small figurine placed on the table in front of him. He anxiously awaited a response from Angela, his closest friend and trusted companion.

Angela let out a sigh, fully aware of the relentless determination exhibited by the boys when it came to protecting one of their own. As the leader of their group, she bore the responsibility of ensuring the safety and well-being of each member, even if it meant undertaking risky endeavors.

"Meet me in front of Mirkwood in ten. Over," Angela, with a sense of urgency, relayed her instructions to meet in front of Mirkwood in ten minutes. She swiftly retracted the antenna and began gathering all the necessary items for this crucial mission. Carefully, she packed her bag with essential tools and supplies, ensuring she was well-prepared for whatever awaited her. Among the items she included were a reliable flashlight to illuminate the darkness, a sturdy rope that could be used for various purposes, a compass to navigate through unfamiliar terrain, a sharp knife for utility and protection, a water bottle to stay hydrated, snacks to sustain her energy levels, and a fresh set of batteries to power any electronic devices she might need.

With her bag fully packed and ready, Angela hurriedly made her way outside. She swiftly grabbed her bike from the garage, knowing it would be her means of transportation to reach the designated rendezvous point in time. With determination in her eyes, she hopped onto the bike and pedaled with great speed towards Mirkwood.

Upon arriving at her destination, Angela was met with the heartwarming sight of her three dear friends and brothers. Throughout the years, she had witnessed their growth and maturation, as they transformed into nearly teenagers. Angela had always prioritized their safety and well-being, shielding them from any potential harm. Her unwavering dedication to protecting them not only earned her the trust of their parents but also garnered the boys' affection and loyalty. Whenever they found themselves in need, they would frequently seek Angela's guidance, solace, or assistance.

"Hey, Angela," the three individuals exclaimed simultaneously, their voices blending together in perfect harmony. As they spoke, their faces lit up with genuine warmth, their eyes sparkling with anticipation.

"Hey boys," Angela replied, her own smile reflecting the same level of enthusiasm as she observed their eager expressions. Her gaze shifted from one person to another, taking note of the backpacks slung over their shoulders. The presence of these bags served as a clear indication that they were fully prepared for any challenge that lay ahead.

Realizing the determination and readiness emanating from each of them, Angela nodded resolutely and spoke with unwavering confidence, "Okay, let's do this. And stay close to me." Her words carried a sense of assurance and leadership, emphasizing the importance of unity and teamwork in their upcoming endeavor.

The group of boys shared a silent understanding, their eyes meeting briefly before they nodded in unison, affirming their agreement. They followed closely behind the older girl, their bicycles gliding effortlessly through the darkness of the night. Determined and resolute, they embarked on a journey towards the designated location where their search would commence. Time seemed to stretch as minutes turned into an eternity, but eventually, they arrived at their destination. Coming to a stop, they carefully parked their bikes and turned their attention toward the foreboding forest that loomed ahead, casting an eerie shadow over their path.
