[Linear Inequalities in 2 Variables]
4 Forms of Linear Inequality
- Ax + By > C
- Ax + By < C
- Ax + By is greater than or equal to C
- Ax + By is less than or equal to C
{A,B and C are real numbers,   a, b ≠ o}

The ordered pair (x,y) is the solution
Graph of of inequality is a half-plane (either a solid or broken line)
Shaded part - solutions

Ex: 16 - y > x                (-1, 9)
      16 - 9 > -1
       7   > -1
       TRUE
       Therefore, (-1, 9) is a SOLUTION of the
        inequality.

[Graphing Linear Inequalities in 2 Variables]
1. Rewrite the inequality as an equation and solve for the intercepts (when solving for x intercept, y =0 and vice versa)
2. Plot and draw the boundary line; solid line if the inequality is (greater than or equal to / less than or equal to) and broken line if the inequality is (> or <).
3. Pick a test point (0,0). Replace x and y with the coordinates of that point.
4. If the resulting inequality is TRUE, shade the side that contains the test point. Shade the other side of the line if the inequality is FALSE.

Ex: 3x + 6y > 18
Step 1: 3x + 6y = 18
Step 2:
X- intercept                              
3x + 6(0) =18                           
3x + 0 = 18                                
3x = 18                                              
3x / 3 = 18 / 3                          
x = 6   y = 0
Y- intercept                                
3(0) + 6y = 18
0 + 6y = 18
6y = 18         
6y / 6 = 18/ 6
x = 0 y = 3

Slope - Intercept Form --> y > mx + b
Ex: 2x + 3y < 10 --------> 3y < -2x + 10
