It wasn't supposed to be like this
He didn't mean to start feeling like this, he swears. And yet, glowing amethyst was creeping up his skin, lighting up his room in the late night.
Gazing down at the crystal patches, he couldn't help but wonder how he got here.

Izuku suspects it started at the sports festival, But don't quote him on that.
It wasn't his first time meeting someone like him - Someone who people doubted could be a hero -, but there was something different about Shinzo. Maybe it was his determination, or just how similar they truly were. Or maybe, it was simply a fascination with the tired boy's quirk.
Whatever the reason may be, Izuku couldn't stop thinking about Shinso. Those exhausted eyes, that unruly purple hair, and his gravelly voice. Izuku wanted to see more, hear more, feel more.
With how much Shinso occupied his mind, Izuku failed to notice the faint purple marks blossoming on his skin.

The scarred boy's reminiscing was interrupted by a jolt of icy, sharp pain. He was getting used to it, the cruel crystals. After all, Izuku had been dealing with it for a month now.
Getting up, he slowly crept out to the boys shower. He'd found that warm water helped to soothe the tender amethyst.
Pain temporarily subdued, Izuku's mind wondered back to the past
