enid and wednesday hurried back to nevermore.
''oh my god!! what is my family doing there? it's not even parents day or whatever!'' enid rambled to wednesday in a panicked state.

they step onto the nevermore ground and open the gates.
as they enter, enid's mother comes rushing towards her.
''enid! i can't believe what i've been hearing around the school!''

taken aback by the sudden tone of her daughter, mother slapped enid across her face.
''hey!'' wednesday stepped in.

''the rumors enid! you are kissing a girl on the holy school grounds! do you know how much that affects the family dynasty!?''

''leave enid alone.'' wednesday replies in a calm tone, but rage was building up inside of her.
she continued to pull the crying enid towards the school and their dorms.
everyone's eyes were on them.
some of them were laughing.
some of them were giving them sympathetic looks.
nevertheless, wednesday's only goal was to reach the dorm.
when they finally did, enid curled up in a ball and continued crying.
''i hate her! i hate her!'' enid shouted, in between sobs.
wednesday crouched down next to enid.
she didn't know how to help her exactly.
enid's mother was hysterically crying and shouting outside.
enid covered her ears with her hands to not hear her.
''enid.'' wednesday lightly tapped enid's shoulder.
enid looked at wednesday.
''do you know who may have spread those rumors?''
''i don't know, wednesday! i don't know! just leave me alone already!''
wednesday was struck by this sudden reaction.
''enid-''
''no! get out!''
enid suddenly stood up and pushed wednesday.

wednesday just stood there with teary eyes, looking at the shadow of her once joyful and colorful friend. or maybe it was a lover...
''GET OUT ALREADY!'' enid yelled and started pushing wednesday out of the dorm, each push becoming more aggressive until she was finally out of the dorm.
the last sound she heard was the loud echo of the door slam.
there were people in the hallway that came due to enid's shouting in the dorm.
wednesday couldn't say anything to them.
she had this stabbing feeling in her heart and it isn't as fun as she thought it was.
she slowly slid down the dorm door and curled up in a ball.
thing jumped on her knee.
''we'll figure this out.'' he motioned.
