"Bilkul.....hukum ke alawa bahurani sa ke muh pe yeh muskan koi aur laa hi nhi sakta" the old maid commented

IN THE BACKYARD

Geetanjali sat near the fountain, making sure the letter won't get spoiled by the dripping water and started reading it.

'Geetu meri jaan,
Mujhe pata hai iss baar bhi yehi soch rahi thi na ki pichli baar ki tarah meine kyu tumhe phone nhi kiya. Because mein iss baar tumhe yeh chitthi likhna chahta tha. Mujhe pata hai ki jab bhi tumhe sasu maa ji ki yaad ati hai tum unhe ek chitthi likh kar apne mann ki sari, achi aur buri dono baat keh jati ho. Mein chahta hoon ki aaj se chitthi sabdh ke saath tumhara ek naya yaad jude. Aaj se chitthi mein sirf sikayat nhi hongi maa ke saath but chitthi mein pati ke saath pyaar bhi hoga. I want you to have all the good memories attached even with the tiniest things on the earth.

Mein yahan thik se pahunch gaya hoon. Kaam bhi achese chal raha hai. I just hope to get this deal. Par dekh yaar yeh toh party hai woh abhi nakhre dikha raha hai share percentage ko lekar. Kya bekar ki tension aur toh aur uski beti kya full to line de rahi hai you won't believe. Are you getting jealous? Please get jealous Geetu. Mujhe tumhe khud ke liye jealous hote huye dekhna hai.

Meri jaan bohot yaad karta hoon tumhe. Yeh log family restaurant ya club kahin pe bhi dinner meeting arrange karte hai na toh wahan pe dusre couples ko dekh kar mujhe tum badi yaad ati ho. This December, on Christmas we are coming Paris no matter what and I want to kiss you deep and passionate when the clock strike 12. I will be back soon with your favourite flowers and meri jaan you need to wait for me in the hall like you said. Aur ek baat tumhara jo yeh til hai na uspe mera dil fanaa hai. Mann toh karta hai ki tumhe apne andar chupa lun, phir mein Jahan tum wahan.

Chal abhi bye.....I need to go back to work. Will write you another letter soon. And will call you sooner.

Yours handsome husband,
Kartavya Geetanjali Chauhan.'

After reading the letter Geetanjali giggled. Her tender fingers caressed the last inked words 'Kartavya Geetanjali Chauhan'. She smiled and a tear drop left her eye.

"I miss you too. And I regret not going with you. Come back soon Geetanjali ki jaan apko ek good news bhi toh deni hai. Hum dono aapke aane ka besabri se intezaar kar rahe hain" Geetanjali whispered while roaming her hand on her stomach.

"Bhabi ma.......apke naam ka phone aya hai" the twelve years old daughter of the driver who comes to learn her courses from Geetanjali informed her about the phone call.

Geetanjali smiled a tight lipped smile thinking it must be Kartavya who has ranged her up. She folded the letter neatly and grabbing a towel she started drying her hair which was wet due to the fountain and ran briskly towards the telephone in the hall.

Geetanjali took the phone from the young girl and said "hello"

"Geetanjali?"

"Ji.... Geetanjali bol rahi hoon"
