Third pov

It was currently 4 in the morning and (Y/N) was still awake, since he is a demon, he had no desire to sleep unless he really needed to. A knock at his door startled him out of his book. He stood up from his futon and smelled the air...'Shinobu...'. He opened the door, staring blankly at the short hashira.
"(Y/N)-san! How good to see you! I believe now is an optimal time to begin our day of training together. What do you say?"
(Y/N) couldn't help but blink owlishly, staring at the short butterfly.
"Alright..."

Just like that, (Y/N) was now trapped in a study with the butterfly hashira. "Now, (Y/N)-san, i'd like to run a few tests on you. If you don't mind, of course?"
"Uhm..sure, i'm fine with it."
"Great! i'll get set up."

"(Y/N)-san, i'd like to take some of your blood as well as get a urine sample and a piece of flesh from you."
This sentence made the demon boy sweatdrop.
This lead the male to sitting on a medical table shirtless while the insect hashira probed at his sides for an hour.

"Strange, your cells seem to have a high rate of Kibutsuji blood in them...(Y/N), is there anything you maybe forgot to mention at the trial?"
The bug narrowed her eyes toward his figure. To put it simply, the pillar was being generous with the amount of respect she was giving him. Her word choice was definitely kinder than whatever emotion she was feeling right now.

"I don't believe so, perhaps you took a sample from an area with more blood.." (Y/N) reasoned as best he could and narrowly escaped the pillar's protests and concerns. Although she doesn't seem quite all the way persuaded, she lets the topic go with little struggle, which is surprising.
"Alright, now that we've finished these tests, we should begin training." Kocho clapped her hands together with a closed-eye smile imprinting her features. "Alright, what will we do first?" (Y/N) blinks, frog-like as he still rests on the table, shirtless. "Well, i'd like to begin with my speciality!"

Kocho spent a bit of time glossing over her "speciality" which included cooking wisteria leaves (i don't know the word for a flowers leaf things, help) and creating many deadly poisons to kill demons will. What she probably didn't realize... was that she was telling this to a demon. (Y/N) sat there, tired-eyed, while listening to what she was planning to teach him.
"Any questions?"

Sheepishly raising his hand like a kindergartener, (Y/N) deadpanned at Kocho. "Uhm, yes, (Y/N)" she cleared her throat awkwardly, calling on him as if she was a teacher in a classroom. "I'm not so sure how i will be able to complete this part of the training seeing as i'm a demon and i'm allergic to wisteria.." the more he spoke the more Kocho's face irked.

"I...I see, well i'll have to find a solution to that problem then..." she spoke, her hand going up to catch her chin as she looked up in thought.

(Y/N) was now standing next to Kocho, his face covered by a protective filter of clear plastic. As well as him sporting gloves and an apron worn by housewives, (Y/N) couldn't help but feel insulted...just a bit.
"There! Now you can participate safely in my training." Kocho smiled wickedly, though perhaps she didn't mean it to come off that way.

"We'll begin by assessing your skill ability. (Y/N)-san, can you use any breathing styles?" (Y/N) shook his head to this question, making the butterfly jot down some notes.
"Any blood demon art?"

(Y/N) paused, should he reveal his demon art now? Or perhaps lying is the best option for him now....she may know he isn't telling the truth.
"No, I haven't developed my demon art yet."

Kocho stared passed him, strangely not blinking for a few jarring moments. "I see, perhaps this has something to do with you're non-human diet." She looked down, writing her synopsis.
"We'll get back to that later, for now, i'd like to know how you fight."

"Well, I fight with my sword."

"I see, anything else worth mentioning?"

"No, Kocho-sama."

She set her quill down, smiling eerily toward his figure. As if to say "lets get on with the training," she jeered her head toward the table with the ingredients.

A few hours later, (Y/N) had successfully created a semi-leathal poison to fight off demons with...as if he'd ever use it..
"Ara-Ara~! It seems that the sun will soon rise, you better get back to your room or else." Not sure if she meant that threateningly, (Y/N) took off the embarrassing apron and protective gear before walking robotic-like out of the study and back into the shared room with the trio of idiots.
It was around....6 am now and the sun was just barely glimpsing over the horizon as (Y/N) grabbed the book he was reading and quickly booked it -- pun intended -- toward his dark room without windows.
