Its been a month since the whole situation between me and Alvaro went down, a month since he broke my heart and basically a month since we've actually spoken. He blew up my phone after I left the party asking for me to give him a chance to explain but I didnt want to hear it to be honest. I mean yeah I blocked him but he didnt even try, didnt show up to my crib blasting heartbreak music on a large stereo or nothing.

He hasnt been to school either, not that I care even though it is mildly concerning, maybe its for the best, I dont wanna see his ugly face anyways.

I walk into first period and of course, with my luck , as my eyes are scanning across the room my pupils fall on a figure with their head on their desk hood up but very much recognisable. I sigh taking the seat two seats across hoping this period will fly by. It does. Mr cheater keeps his head down the whole time, reluctant to respond to his name being called on the register, you'd think he was dead if it wasnt for him lazily rising from his slumber as soon as the bell went.

I try to avoid eye contact and make a beeline to the door until my name is called by none other than

'Hermosa'

I sigh and turn around. I've ignored him for long enough I guess, I dont have the energy to run.

The closer I get, the more prominent his eye bags become. Damn homie aint sleep the whole month we been broken up? Men are so dramatic gosh.

'I miss you' he whispered looking at the floor.

'I cant hear you speak up,' I say raising an eyebrow, 'You were mad bold when you were putting your lips on that other bitch.'

He looked up at me, tears attempting to escape his eyes.

'She kissed me, you walked in at the wrong moment I swear on everything Ria, Natalies just a weirdo ex who always ruins something good, she heard about you and me and because she knows I want nothing to do with her she tries to fuck up what we got going,' he says, 'And it looks like she won,' he sighs.

I examine the state he's in, either he took some acting classes whist he's been gone or he's telling the truth. Imma go with the latter because to be honest as soon as we walked through the door of the party I knew that Nicole bitch was moving weird, she didnt take her eyes off of Alvie whole time we were there. Of course she did take a break from undressing him with her eyes to give me a dirty look here and there.

'Shut up man, she didnt win,' I say stepping closer to him, 'It's just...you know I've been cheated on before, my ex did me dirty and when I saw you with her my wall went up, I did what I do best, I ran,' I shrugged, mumbling a little as I realised how stupid I had been.

Alvaro has shown me his most vulnerable state, he's been nothing but good to me, but I let my insecurities get the best of me. Damn maybe I really do need to work on myself.

We stood there for a minute, I dont know when he had found the chance to, but at this point Alvaro was holding my hand stroking it with his thumb.

'I missed you' he said quietly.

'I missed you too but you said that already.' I giggled but that smile quickly turned into a frown, 'Why you aint been sleeping bae?' I ask stroking his face which was now wet with tears, he was crying.

'My mom,' his voice broke, 'they say she's not getting better and she might not wake up, I've been working like crazy trynna save up the money for better treatment I just can't lose her.'

I stood there watching him not knowing what to say, I never really knew how to console people so I just stroked his head and let him cry on my shoulder. After a while I wiped his tears and led him to his car, he drove me home in silence I didn't want to disturb his thoughts I knew he would talk when he was ready.

'You wanna come in?' I turned to him when the car stopped. He nodded.

We spent the rest of the day cuddled together in my bed, enjoying each others company, it was as if we had never been apart. Maybe I wasn't smart to have forgiven him so easily but honestly I didn't care, I loved him he wasn't perfect and neither am I. We're made for eachother.
