A few days later, I got ready for bed and climbed in. I sighed. These few days have been a bit easier for me. I had been talking more with Anika and so we interacted more. Tomorrow I was supposed to go to India for a shoot. I had to get some sleep so I closed my eyes. Just when sleep started to overtake me, my phone began to ring. Anika, who was in bed as well, groaned.
"Anika, please get it yaar." I said sleepily.
"Hussain, it's your phone. You get it." She argued.
"You get it." I argued back.
"Hussain, jao (go)!" Anika said loudly and pulled the kambal over her head. Reluctantly I got up, putting on my slippers and answered the phone.
"Hello?" I said tiredly, sitting on the bed.
"Hussain, Zara's woken from her coma." I heard Dr Malik's voice.
"What?" I yelped, shocked.
"Yes, she woke up a few minutes back. Please come see me in my office." Saying that, Dr Malik cut the call. I ran downstairs, grabbing my car keys and phone.
"Hussain, kya hua (what happend)?" Mama walked over to me from the living room.
"I have to go to the hospital. Abhi." I panted. Mama nodded.
"Jao (go). Drive safely."

I rushed off to the hospital and went straight to Dr Malik's office. I knocked on the door.
"Come in" I heard his mumbled reply. I walked in quietly. Dr Malik looked up.
"Hussain. Sit down." He said gravely. I sat down on the black chair opposite him.
"There's a problem." Dr Malik sighed. I looked at him, not saying anything.
"Because Zara was in a coma all this time, she does not know any of the events that have occured during that time. In fact, she still thinks it's 2017. So we can't stress her out in any way. We need to slowly and calmly explain things to her. If not, she can go back into her coma and we might lose her." Dr Malik explained. I didn't know what to say. She was back. That's all I was glad for.
"May I meet her?" I asked. Dr Malik nodded. Together we walked to Zara's room. I went in while Dr Malik stayed outside. Zara was sleeping. I sat down on my usual chair and held her hand gently. She looked so different to yesterday. She didn't have the oxygen mask and the colour had returned to her face. I couldn't believe she was back. I made circles softly onto her hand with my thumb like I had always did.

Zara's P.O.V

I opened my eyes. I couldn't remember what had happend to me but I felt tired. I looked around the room. I was in a hospital. Why was I in a hospital?! What happend? I looked down to see someone holding my hand with their head on it. I moved my fingers as they felt numb. The person's head shot up. Hussain! But he looked so different. His beard had grown back and his hair was in a different style.
"Hussain." I whispered. Hussain's eyes filled up with tears, which scared me.
"Zara." Hussain sobbed. I lifted my hand to his face and wiped his tears.
"Kya hua? (What happend?) Why are you crying?" I asked quietly, getting emotional myself. Hussain took my hand and kissed the back of it.
"We...we were in a car accident." Hussain whispered. I started to think back but I couldn't remember anything.
"I can't remember.." I trailed off.
"You were in a coma, that's why." Hussain wiped his tears. I frowned.
"How long?" I asked.
"About a year. It's 2018 now." Hussain said. Woah. It's already 2018. I held Hussain's hand. He smiled at me, through his tears.
"I'm glad you're back. I missed you." Hussain said quietly. I smiled. My hand brushed over his fingers when I felt a ring on one of his fingers. Hussain was busy wiping his tears when I looked up at him.
"Hussain, are..are we married?" I asked. Hussain looked at me.
"Sorry, I can't remember." I smiled nervously. Hussain frowned slightly.
"N-no." He answered.
"But you're wearing a ring." I pointed out. Hussain looked at the ring with his red eyes.
"No, I mean, we are married." Hussain smiled through his tears.
"So how come you said no?" I frowned. My head started to throb in pain.
"Um, no, I was joking. Pagal. (Crazy.) How..how could you think we're not married? Don't worry." Hussain put his cold hand on my cheek and I put my hand on top, smiling. I let out the breath I was holding. So we were married. Good. I couldn't remember our wedding but at least we're married.
