"You alright?"

"Ugh. It's just the withdrawal." He plainly explains as if she would understand right away but the blonde kept her hands on her hips, looking at him with even more confusion on her face. He groans again,

"Drug withdrawal." He clarified, "Took some last night at a party. Didn't want to, but Marcus insisted. Gives me headaches every once in awhile."

"Jesus, Kei." She hands the tea to him and he takes it. "Careful, its still hot."

"Thanks."

"Now." She leans back against the couch, "How did you find my number? Thought you threw that business card of mine earlier."

"I went back for it." He gave a dry laugh, "I didn't expect it to be at the same spot I dropped it. It was wet from the rain but I was able to get your number from there."

"Again, why the change of heart?"

He took a small sip of his ginger tea before settling it back down at the coffee table. He leaned back, his hand resting against the lounge.

"It's Yuji." He sighs, "He found me. Or, called me. Him and Megumi are actually coming as we speak."

Yuki looked a bit shocked but she nodded in acknowledgment over what he was saying,

"You were so resistant on reuniting with your friends, Kei. What changed after we spoke?"

"You knew, didn't you?" Kei questioned. "You knew what Gojo did to those elders.."

Yuki sighed and exasperated a hand,

"Well, I tried to tell you that but you never wanted to talk!"

"You could've told me that first!" Kei blurted and Yuki rolled her eyes, an exhausted laugh following after.

"I'm not stupid, Kei. I'm not just going to spill that out in public. It had to be discrete, like this." Yuki leans back from the couch, "No matter how many times I tried to talk to you, you wouldn't let me. You were so absorbed in your own little world. Playing as the badass, foreign special grade sorcerer!"

"Yuki-"

"Come on, Kei. No excuses! Your friends had been trying to track you down for over a year and you wouldn't give them that time of day. Don't you understand how hard it was for me-"

"I tried to kill myself last night."

Yuki choked on her words and now stared at him, flabbergasted. Kei flopped against the pillow and rubbed his temple. His face contorted with exhaustion and Yuki simply stared at him stunned.

"W-Why?" She asked.

"What do you mean why?" His voice began to crack, "I-I couldn't live like this." The sound of her ticking clock remained in the air, along with the rain pouring loudly against the walls. Kei continued his words because Yuki couldn't,

"I-I'm sorry, Yuki. I really am." He whimpered. He shielded his eyes with his own arms when he felt the tears come again, "I know you said they missed me..b-but I felt I caused so much pain, I didn't deserve their love. I didn't want to give myself another chance. I felt I didn't deserve it. S-So, I ran! I ran and never looked back. I wanted to start a new life. Get away from everything that's happened to me." He rambled on and on, "B-But..things come back to haunt me. At first, it was everything at Shibuya. I kept seeing Yuji and Megumi's pained expressions when I told them about Sukuna's deal. Then, it was Mai." Kei shivers in his spot,
