Better than Starbucks

He typed "hey" to hopefully start the conversation, not wanting to text much given how perhaps Shoto found it annoying. He honestly couldn't understand the teenagers these days, then again he never really had much of an adolescence, or a childhood.

"I'm back!" Hawks announced as he walked up with a tray of coffees and food. Dabi quickly shut his phone off as the hero set the tray down and sat in front of the singer.

"One black coffee" he hands Dabi a black coffee "and one egg sandwich!" The hero gives Dabi the egg sandwich gleefully.

"It's bigger than the ones at Starbucks" Dabi commented as he stared at the big yet undeniably delicious sandwich that stared back at the singer with a smiley face.

"That means it's better!"

"We can't say it's better without tasting it" Dabi points out "What did you even ordered?"

"Just a chicken sandwich" the hero pointed at his food that came with a side of fries, each fry having a smiley face like the chicken sandwich.

"You're a cannibal?"

Hawks playfully rolled his eyes "Very funny" he looked back at his food "It looks so good though"

"Am I really gonna witness a hero commit cannibalism?" He grinned.

"It's not cannibalism" Hawks replied with a tight lipped smile, his eyes narrowed slightly with a mix of irritation yet amusement before pointing at the singer.

"Are you gonna eat your sandwich?"

Dabi glances back down at the smiley faced sandwich, the toasty smile staring back at the singer as the scent of a freshly made sandwich wafts through the mask he's wearing.

He looks around, seeing how there's nobody around to recognize him he takes his shades and mask off, carefully picks the sandwich up and takes a big bite.
He lets out a low, appreciative "mmm...", almost like a moan. His eyes closed as he's enjoying the moment murdering his smiley faced egg sandwich, the warm melted cheese, the crispy bacon, the ham, the taste of ketchup and mayonnaise, he was just in pure bliss.

"That good?" The hero grins softly, seeing the singer melt as he took his sweet time savoring the delicious flavors of the egg sandwich.

When Dabi noticed the grin he put his sandwich down and took a sip of his coffee. Ignoring the look as much as he can before setting the cup down and clearing his throat.

"It could be worse"

"You liked it"

"It tasted okay"

"Come on, don't lie" Hawks teased as he munches on his fries. Dabi looks down at his half eaten sandwich, the melted cheese oozing out as of it were bleeding. "That look of bliss you got from munching that sandwich says a lot about. Don't lie, it's more than "okay" ".

"...I guess it was better than okay"

"Now we're talking!" The hero's wings flapped a bit.

"What does your cousin taste like?"

"Are you seriously gonna keep making the cannibal jokes?

"Why not?" Dabi grinned again as he pointed at Hawks' uneaten smiley faced chicken sandwich. Hawks just shook his head as he suppressed a smile and ate his sandwich, his golden eyes widened in delight.
