He has been helping around

the shop but he has yet to roll

up his sweater sleeves or hoodie

sleeves. It makes me curious. Is

he hiding something? So I made

him water the rose bushes while

I go bring in bags of soil and put

fertilizer on some other plants. Not

really that was just an excuse so

that I could see him roll up his shirt

sleeves. But it worked. He peeked

around and when he didn't see me

or anyone he pushes up his shirt

sleeves. I gasped. Along his arms

we're deep scars, not intentional.

And also big bruises that looked

to be a lot of pain. I felt tears

invading my eyes. I know I should

not be the one crying when he's the

one in pain. But I hate the thought

is nearly broken and will

gush water out all over my

shirt sleeves. Once I push

up my shirt sleeves I hear

a gasp. I turn around and

see Adorlee. She has tears

in her eyes along with

distant look in her eyes

as her eyes go up and

down my arms a couple

of times. I feel my heart

drop. Well...now I have to

explain the scars and

recent bruises. She's seen

the ugliest part of me.

But she doesn't know

the uglier story behind

them.
