By the way, my wand wasn't working well for the last week of Hogwarts, it feels disconnected from my hand unlike when I first got it.
Any idea on that?
Thanks in advance,
Harry Potter.
I turn back to the Rune Sequence, wiping the ash away and redrawing it, not quite connecting the lines to avoid accidental activation.
---
When Hedwig returned I sent my letter to Ollivander, getting a reply quickly.
To Harry Potter,
The idea you've had has been attempted before, using precious stones in Rune Schemes does work to a certain extent.
Only so many stones can be used before they become redundant.
That's not to say they aren't useful. Quite the contrary, depending on the type, size and quality of a stone, it can absorb more and more Magic within itself, but once it reaches full charge it becomes highly unstable, the slightest impact can set them off and all the Magic they've absorbed would be released in an explosion.
No the item you want is called a Merlin Stone. Literal Crystallized Mana.
Unfortunately these take millenia to form and only in the deepest of places, treacherous to search for, can they grow.
They're so rare that only three have been found in recorded history.
I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.
On other matters, the news of your wand is unfortunate, but not unheard of. You've likely changed fundamentally from the boy you were when you first got your wand to the current you.
Visit my shop and we can find you a new wand.
Garrick Ollivander.
Crystallized Mana huh?
I wonder if Anime doesn't have an answer to that problem as well?
I go to bed for the night, programs and ideas spiralling in my mind.
Over the next week I use the library computers to browse my questions, finding a few references.
But there was one particular one that I found caught my attention.
Divinity Stones are crystals that emit a pale blue light. They are formed when large clumps of Mana pool together and crystallize over the span of 1,000 years. Then, after several centuries, the saturated mana is liquefied and secreted as a potent healing elixir called "Ambrosia".
Although most Divinity Stones are formed naturally, they can also be artificially created by a person or persons that possess an extremely large quantity of Mana, and pool it over a extended period of time, though not nearly as long as the time it takes for them to form naturally.
The source is a Wiki, Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest.
This is exactly what I need.
I need to draw massive amounts of Magic from my surroundings and push it together.
I begin researching ways to condense Magic through Anime, I'm walking in uncharted territory here so no Wizarding World knowledge will work.
Besides they're all idiots.
In amongst my researching I've been working on a program in my mind to program things.
And it's going well, it's slow, complicated, but I've reformatted it so there's a ton of preprogrammed algorithms in chunks ready to be out together.
Then I was getting somewhere.
I have a week till the Weasleys pick me up and I'm going to do as much research into metals and minerals as I can.
---
I stumble out of the fireplace at the Burrow, into the arms of Hermione who I clung to for dear life.
"Hey Hermione"
"Hey Harry, how's your project going?" She asked.
"Pretty well, I want it to be a surprise" I whisper.
I pull away, for some reason I felt upset at that but I ignore it, turning to greet the rest of the Weasley family.
Everyone was here, Mr and Mrs Weasley, Ginny who's frowning, Ron, Fred, George, Percy just stepping out, and two other red heads I don't know.
I turn to the one with the small burns in his arms.
"Charlie I'm guessing?"
"Yes, I'm assuming Ron's talked all about me?" He asks.
"A couple of mentions, I guessed by the burns, how's Norbert?"
He seemed confused. "Norbert? Who... Oh the Ridgeback you sent, we call her Norberta, she's doing great, she'll be ready to lay her first clutch in the next year or two... Don't know how Hagrid got her gender wrong"
"I think he was too enthused about having his own dragon to remember to check"
I turn to the last one, ad the tallest.
"And you must be Ginny's favourite, Bill"
He shook my hand, his grip was pretty strong.
"Nice to meet you Harry, Ginny's been writing all about you"
"Huh? What would she have to write about? We rarely run into each other"
Now he seemed confused, as was the rest of the family.
"You're basically all she talks about though"
I turn to Ron.
"You been telling my secrets to your sister?"
"No? With the crap that happens every year you think I have time?"
"Good point, Gin-" I look around but Ginny wasn't here. "Where'd she go?"
