Potter Programmer

Part 1

It was tiring but by the end of the third day of reading through the Runes and Arithmancy books I was able to program a few things mentally, physically was impossible since I didn't have the technology for it but I felt confident that I could do it.

Engineering was also rather interesting, learning the history and the ancient Muggle way of smithing, in theory, and how they've improved since.

It was a fortnight before I could comfortably say I understood how a car was made, I didn't have the experience of working with the materials but I knew the step by step process.

I was beginning to feel terrified at how fast I am at soaking up the information.

But it felt so right, this feels like I was always meant to know this and it's just resettling into it's rightful place in my mind.

It was similar with Runes, I could understand how they worked and estimate how they would react with each other and check the books I Owl Ordered and find I'm usually right.

Arithmancy was like a 3-Dimensional version of Programming and I could easily see how they could fit together... If I could make a Magical CPU.

I was bouncing ideas back and forth with Hermione who was in France this summer and she seemed to be really confused at what I was talking about so I explained how this all started and what I've been working through.

She eagerly asked for the book titles.

"Now let's see here... That's the Rune for Energy conversion... But could that turn any energy into any other form?" I ask myself, quill scratching as I sketch out a formula for energy conversion.

That idea's worth a few experiments.

The main Rune is the Conversion Rune with Fire, Lightning, Force, and Time Clustered around it. That was connected to a cycling set up of the same Rune Cluster three times for energy distribution to avoid Magical Overload.

The Cluster was Magic surrounded by Control, Force, Protection, Strength and Limit.

It'll take the original energies to the cycler and convert it there into Magic that Powers the Force, to create movement, Protection, for durability, Strength for Power and Limit to avoid overclocking the Runes. Control was to be connected to other Rune Clusters to actually control the movements.

I'm taking a more Muggle way of looking at the Runes, like programming each Cluster as a different file.

Each file works together to make a program.

I test the Conversion Cluster with Fire, Electricity, hitting it and just leaving it.

It absorbed them but did self destruct since I don't have a Focus Crystal, like the Catalyst Crystals in the show.

"How should I go about that Hedwig? Should I get more books? Or ask someone who knows about Foci?" I ask Hedwig as she lands on my shoulder with a soft nip to my ear.

She hoots twice, the second one.

"Thanks girl, I got a letter for Hermione whenever your ready" She sticks her leg out and I chuckle.

I tie it to her and smile.

"I saw on the news there was a heavy storm system closing in on France, you be careful"

She flies off and I write a second letter, this one for Ollivander in Diagon Alley.

To Mr Ollivander,

I was wondering if you had any suggestions for Focusing items on a Rune Cluster, I have a Cluster I'm working on but it overloads as it has no way of storing that energy.
