Nurse: how you feeling Mr. Fleming?
Chris: I'm ready to go home
Nurse: smiles) well today is your lucky day. I have your discharge papers right here and your wife is on her way to get you. I just have to remove your IV and then I'll help you get dressed
Chris: ok
Shayla pov; I had just got to the hospital and got my pass to go to Chris room. We haven't spoken in 2 months. I don't even know if he's coming home or does he want to be dropped off some where. I got off the elevator and walked down the hall to his room and knocked on the door before going in.
Nurse: hello Mrs. Fleming
Shayla: hello
Nurse: he's all set to go, I just have to go find a wheel chair
Shayla: ok
Nurse: I'll be right back (leaves out)
Shayla: how you feeling?
Chris: very sore but I'm okay
Shayla:( nods) that's good
Shayla pov: it was very awkward between us. I wanted to hug and kiss him so bad but I didn't. I just sat down next to the bed and twirled my fingers.
Chris: you look sick
Shayla: I'm not sick, just tired
Chris: you haven't been sleeping ?
Shayla: no(sighs) too busy worrying about you
Chris: I'm okay
Shayla: I thought I was gone lose you (tearing up) I probably still lost you anyways
Chris: come here
Shayla:(gets up and walks over to him) yeah?
Chris pov: I missed my wife. We both were wrong but I need her more than anything right now. I pulled her close and wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her slowly. I love her and I always will.
Chris: we both fucked up and I just needed some time to think, but I love you so much and I don't wanna lose you. I'm sorry for cheating
Shayla: I'm sorry too I mean it
Chris: you love me right?
Shayla: yes I love you
Chris:(smiles) promise?
Shayla: I promise(smiles) now when you get home, Imma take good care of you, we gotta get you back on your feet
Chris:see baby when you say you gone take care of me, my mind goes other places(sliding his hands down to her ass)
Shayla:(smirks) Christopher, look at you. All bandaged up , not gone be able to do nothing for a while
Chris: when there's a will there's a way, you remember high school, when I tore my acl and broke my back?
Shayla:(laughs) and your recovery went from 6 months to 10, we not doing that again
(The nurse comes back with the wheel chair )
Nurse: alright Mr. Fleming, you ready ?
Chris: yes
Chris pov: the nurse and Shay helped me into the wheel chair. I had a back brace on , a cast on my leg and my arm was still wrapped. It feels good to be going home though.
