I just got out of school. I sigh thinking about all the homework they just gave me. I'm Sachi Hanada. I walk towards my home. Unfortunately, my parents are gone for the weekend. The one time I get to spend time with them. Since most friends of mine generally don't come over on weekends, I'm sure it'll be a quiet and lonely weekend. I look towards the crosswalk to see an incredibly stupid situation. Why and how did a child of that age get halfway onto the street? What's even weirder is that no one nearby even seems to notice the child. I get to the Crosswalk in a panic as I hear a speeding vehicle. I grab the child and move them out of the way. I then turn and see the face of a semi-truck... And lose consciousness. At least I saved the child. Is the last thing I thought.
Suddenly someone enters the crosswalk in front of us. She is hit by a speeding semi-truck. Most of the others around me scream... I see what she did. She saved a child. Why didn't I notice that child before? The semi screeches to a halt. People don't even bother calling an ambulance. She's literally a gory mess on the front of the semi. This is the first time I have met this person... though she just died. I have a gut feeling I will meet her again.
I awake... But, I clearly remember being hit by a semi. But I'm alive somehow? I try to feel my surroundings with my hands... until I realize I don't have hands. I open my eyes. It felt weird to do so though. It felt more like my mind using energy. Instead of just the quick opening of my eyelids. I don't even blink. What is going on? I move around by jumping. Just short hops. But, they don't take much stamina, though. I get to a small pond and get a first look at myself. I'm a slime. Like one of those slimes from fantasy games. I feel the wind blow across me. It doesn't feel cold. So... I died and reincarnated as a slime. I stretch my slime body. Hmm, I can actually thin out my form. Maybe, with time I could make myself into a human-like shape. I don't feel hungry, but I imagine that I'll probably still need to eat. I'm not breathing so I don't need air. I start to turn around when I see a slime of similar color across the pond. The moment I look at my kind... a sort of energy blade slices through them. I'm guessing magic. I see the hunter enter my sight. A Human. She picks up my dead brethren and puts half of it in a bag of some sort. And straight up just eats the other half. My adrenaline kicks in and I look for a hiding place. Closest place? The pond. I nudge myself into the pond and sink to the bottom. Thankfully she doesn't notice me. I wait for her to leave and after she does so I have a new problem. I can't move. The water is too heavy for me to jump. I use my mouth to consume some and... I go overboard. I drank the whole pond down. I didn't get bigger though. I feel my insides change and a text box appears in front of me. ~Evolution, Multi-Race Slime~ It says. Wait, I have a status? Can I check my Status? The moment I think that my Status appears in front of me.

Then the first thing to do is give myself a name. I may not have any company to call my name. Or even be able to talk, but just not having one feels wrong. I think up names until I have a gut feeling about one of them. It's this name. This is my new name!

There I did it, I now have an Official name. I suddenly remember that hunter... I gotta get out of this place. Somewhere not easily seen. I hop out of the now dry pond. Though I evolved I don't think that skill I gained is particularly useful.

I thought so. Though Malleable seems to be useful. I can change my shape, size and form with it. I see a tiny cave. It's about the size of my body. I should be safe in there. Once I get in the cave I accidentally digest something. It's stone? No, it's metal. But, it's already alloyed. Why is this here? Nevermind that, right now I need to be practicing my Malleable skill. I stretch myself to both smaller and bigger forms. Nothing concrete though. I feel myself losing energy. I knew it. I need to eat. I leave my Temporary Shelter and look for food. I'm gonna have to eat an animal or something like that. I've digested both metal, water and some plants. None of it has given me energy. I found a small rabbit. Well this will have to do. I jump onto the rabbit and feel it struggle within me for about a second. I digest it quickly and I gain more energy than I had before. Lets check my Status.

Oh! I leveled up. I also Gained a Skill. It's pretty useful too. It makes me faster for a short time. But It only speeds me up if I hop. Thanks to my lack of legs, Hopping is the only way I can travel so... It's gonna be useful until I get a human shape. I hop back to my shelter. The sky dims. It seems night is coming. I feel my energy feeling odd. Oh, I think I get it. I need sleep to live as well. Good to know. The moment I arrive and enter, I fall asleep.
