[Airi Hayashi was a woman from Okinawa, Japan who fell in love with a man named Kei Hamada who was from the same place. After they had gotten married, they moved to the United States of America to Los Angeles, California. A couple of years later, Airi gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Tadashi Daiki Hamada on September 23rd. When Tadashi was seven years old, his mother gave birth to another baby boy on October 23rd and they decided to name him Hiro Hikaru Hamada. His father started teaching Tadashi Karate from a very early age and he learned it pretty quickly. Growing up, Tadashi never had any friends and he would always hang out by himself since he wasn't that social. Unfortunately, when he was ten and Hiro was three, their parents died in a car crash, and their aunt Cassandra took them in and tried to raise them in the best way that she could. Tadashi continued learning karate and even started teaching Hiro from a young age as well. They went to school in Los Angeles, California but their aunt moved them to San Fransokyo during the summer of Tadashi's seventh grade to open up a bakery. The city was only thirty minutes away from San Francisco and the boys went to school at San Francisco Public School since it was cheaper. Aunt Cass opened up the bakery but it was also an internet cafe and it also held their house. Eventually, Tadashi reached his freshman year of high school but Aunt Cass transferred the boys to San Fransokyo Academic Preparatory, home of the Japanese black bear, so they could have a better education even though it was more expensive. The school had three buildings, the elementary building, the middle school, and the high school. Aunt Cass had drooped off Hiro at the elementary building and now was dropping off Tadashi at the high school building]
{With Tadashi}
Aunt Cass: What are your classes for the year?
Tadashi: Algebra, Biology, English 1, AP World Geography, P.E, Spanish 1, Chinese 1, and Study hall
Aunt: Ok, well, have fun, work hard, and please, try to socialize
Tadashi: Aunt Cass-
Aunt Cass: I'm serious, Tadashi, you don't have a single friend and you're always by yourself, please try to make at least one friend. School is very important but so is stepping outside your comfort zone and making some connections, making friends
(Tadashi sighs)
Tadashi: Yeah, ok
(He leaves the car, walks to the building, and Aunt Cass then sighs)
Aunt Cass: What am I going to do with him?
(She drives away)
{Inside the building}
[Tadashi walked down the hallway and all the girls stared at him as he walked by giggling and smiling at him]
{With two girls}
[One of the girls had dirty blonde hair, big green eyes, and pink glasses. The other girl had short black hair with purple strikes in it and dark brown eyes]
Aiko: Wow, isn't he dreamy?
Leiko: Who?
Aiko: Him
(Leiko turned to see Tadashi)
Leiko: He's ok, I guess
Aiko: He's more than ok, Leiko, he's so handsome, and I bet he's the kindest and sweetest guy ever
Leiko: Oh c'mon, honey lemon, you don't even know him
Aiko: Well I'm going to introduce myself
(She starts walking away)
Leiko: Wait, ugh, you have got to be kidding me, I'll see you in class
Aiko: Ok
(Leiko leaves)
{With Tadashi}
Aiko: Hi
(Tadashi turned around)
Tadashi: Oh, uh, h-hi
Aiko: Are you new here? I've never seen you around
Tadashi: Y-yeah, I came from San Francisco Public Middle School
Aiko: Well, uh, welcome to San Fransokyo Academic Preparatory, what's your name?
Tadashi: Tadashi Hamada
Aiko: Nice to meet you, I'm Aiko Rodriguez, but everyone calls me Honey Lemon
Tadashi: Why Honey Lemon?
Aiko: My friend, Fred, he's the one that comes up with all the nicknames, I always drink chamomile tea with ginger, honey, and lemon and also because I always have like a sunny disposition
Tadashi: Well, it's really nice to meet you, I couldn't help but notice that your name sounds Japanese but you sound Latina
Aiko: Yes, my parents and I are from Puerto Esperanza, Quintana Roo, México, they went to Japan once and they loved it, so they chose a Japanese name for me
Tadashi: Neat, I'm from Okinawa, Japan
Aiko: Nice, do you have any siblings?
Tadashi: Yeah, a little brother, his name is Hiro, he's eight
Aiko: Aww
Tadashi: How about you?
Aiko: No, I'm an only child, if you want you can sit with my friends and me at lunch
Tadashi: Yeah, sure, thanks
Aiko: Cool, so what's your first class?
Tadashi: Algebra
Aiko: Me too, do you, maybe, want to walk together?
Tadashi: I'd like that
Aiko: Let's go
(Tadashi closes his locker, locks it, and walks away with Honey Lemon)
Tadashi's POV
Wow, she's so pretty
End of Tadashi's POV
Tadashi: So, what's your schedule like?
Aiko: I've got Algebra, Biology, French 1, English 1, P.E, Study Hall, AP World Geography, and Art 1
Takashi: Well, we have Algebra, Biology, and P.E together
Aiko: I think my friends share those classes with us too, here it is, Algebra
(They go in and sit down)
{Inside the Algebra classroom}
Aiko: Tadashi, this is my best friend, Leiko Tomago
Leiko: What's up? Call me Go Go
Tadashi: Hey
Aiko: This is Wanjohi Wayans but we call him Wasabi
Wanjohi: You spill wasabi on your shirt once and you're labeled for life, nice to meet you, dude
Tadashi: You too
Aiko: And this is Frederick Frederickson but we call him Fred
Frederick: What's up ma dude?
Tadashi: Hiya
[Just then the teacher walks in and everyone turns around, quiets down, and starts paying attention to him]
<later on, during lunch>
{In the cafeteria}
Tadashi: So, any after-school activities that you guys are going to join?
Leiko: Track and the science club
Frederick: Comic book club
Aiko: Science Club
Wanjohi: Science Club as well, how about you, Tadashi?
Tadashi: I'm thinking about joining Robotics and the science club as well
Leiko: Cool
[They start eating their lunches and after lunch, they go to their classes. After school, Tadashi's aunt picks him and Hiro up]
{With Tadashi}
Aunt Cass: So, how was your first day of school you guys?
Tadashi: Good
Hiro: Mine too
Aunt Cass: That's great you two, any extracurricular activities, Tadashi?
Tadashi: We don't sign up yet, we have to wait until the fifth day of school but I'm thinking about signing up for the robotics club and the science club
Aunt Cass: Great choices, did you two make any friends?
Hiro: Not really
Tadashi: Yeah, I did
Aunt Cass: Oh, sweetie, that's great, but don't worry, Hiro, just give it time, ok?
Hiro: I don't mind, aunty Cass
[They drive home and both boys go to their bedroom to start doing their homework while their aunt keeps working in the café]
