"One. I told him to step back, it's not my fault that he didn't. Two. You know I'm not like all the others. Three. I, love you"
"Oh so you love me?? If you do then WHERE IS THIS LOVE JOE?? WHY CAN I NOT SEE IT??"
For the second time ever, a tear slipped down his cheek. "You're the only one who has ever made me feel so strong things..."
"When you love someone you should do it with actions! With kind gestures! You've done nothing!"
"You haven't given me the chance to..."
"Since the day I stepped a foot inside this house, my whole world, my whole has been turned upside down! And that's because of you fucking Joseph Alwyn! That's because of you!"
"But I'm trying to be better for you, every day!" he said
"That's not enough! All that you do is fuck me, make me feel good, as the most special woman in the world, and then you get toxic and you break my heart! And it happens every single time! Every single time! Do you have any idea how much this hurts!?"
"I'm not doing it on purpose... It's...its just the way I am..." he spoke
"I preferred you earlier today when you were vulnerable and you were crying like a baby. Right now, you seem like a coward to me. I wouldn't believe what Austin said. But right now...I don't know what to believe honestly" she said
"I'll try more! I'll try to change! Just please! Please, don't go! I love you! I need you in my life!" he almost cried
She looked at him deep into his eyes and this time she saw emotions. Pain. His eyes were radiating pain. All that she wanted to do was to just take that pain away from him. Her index finger touched his chin and she felt like crying too.
Austin came behind her and put his hand on her shoulder. "Taylor, it's possibly just a misunderstanding. I'm sorry Joe. I shouldn't come here and offend you in that kind of way. You had every right to do what you did to me"
"I'm sorry Austin too" Joe might have said, but his eyes were still staring deep into hers.
"I've caused you a lot problems today... I'm... I'm sorry" he rubbed his nape "I think imma leave you two alone for the momen-"
"You're not going anywhere" Joe declared
"But I've caused you a lot"
"No. Taylor and I will make some breakfast and we'll go downstairs and eat like the good kids we are. Okay??" he said
"Only if she agrees" Austin responded
"I agree... You're the guest here. We should treat you like a guest too, not like an enemy" She said
"As... As you wish then" he surrendered
"Good"
A few minutes later, they were engaged in a small talk about rugby and who they thought would win the game. Joe was a huge fan of rugby, even if he never talked about it. That's something that he would only keep himself and just himself. However, this time he opened up and talked about it with the guy that he almost choked. Almost...
People would think he's insane. He may be insane, who knows?
All this time that he's been talking, Taylor can't help but notice how his face lights up, his eyes have joy inside. She finds herself often smiling when he gives her a few smilingly glances.
How could she ever imagine the pain he had been through? In her ears, everything sounded like a scenario for Law and Order or CSI or whatever.
From now on, whenever she looks at him she can not not feel pain or pity for him. It breaks her heart that the person in front of her had gone through so many incidents in his life. There are no excuses for what he did to her brother though. He's such a pain in the ass sometimes. He is such a dickhead.
