Ludlig leaned back in his chair as the twins' disowning of the Weasley family was finalised. With a quill of solid gold, he scratched a bold line across a piece of parchment which subsequently disintegrated.

"Now comes the blood adoptions. I legally have to give you all potions before we begin the adoptions; it checks for any spells, charms or potions that could influence the decision for the adoptions and ensures everyone is a consenting party." Ludlig explained, summoning four bright blue potions in thin vials.

Severus, the ever-cautious potions master he was, dutifully sniffed the potion first to the amusement of Ludlig. After deeming the potion fit for consumption, Severus tipped his head back and drank the potion in one go, smacking his lips at the tangy taste. Tom just rolled his eyes.

After nothing happened, Tom, Fred and George all took their potions one after the other and waited a few seconds.

Ludlig clapped his hands, satisfied that they were all consenting parties, and summoned two pieces of parchment and a savage-looking dagger, the blade made of a blue-black metal; there was a silver bat at the hilt. The handle was made of shell, and at the top stood a crescent moon, the ends pointing upward.

"Fred, place two drops of blood on this parchment", Ludlig requested, pushing forward one piece of parchment that was tinged slightly blue

"Fred, place two drops of blood on this parchment", Ludlig requested, pushing forward one piece of parchment that was tinged slightly blue. Fred did what was asked of him, using the dagger to slice a small cut onto the pad of his middle finger.

Ludlig then pushed a piece of parchment that was tinged slightly purple towards George and gestured for him to do the same. Fred passed over the dagger, and George sliced the same finger his brother had, hissing slightly at the sting.

After that had been done, Ludlig vanished the dagger and produced twin daggers, these the blade was made of silver, two crescent moons at the hilt facing away from each other and a pentagram at the top of the handles.
