Hatred and Control |Chapter 20|

Katherine remarked as she placed her hand on Link's cheek, directing his gaze onto her, so he was forced to look at her.

The cold and calculated look in her eyes told you everything, along with her words.

"That little bitch! She's really trying to manipulate his thoughts and feelings."

You could feel your blood boil in absolute rage at the cruel thing she was doing. Your hand had turned into a fist at your side, before slowly relaxing at your side again.

Link seemed really uncomfortable with Katherine. He seemed to flinch at her words as she proceeded to guilt trip him.

Taking a deep breath to calm yourself down, seeing how you didnt want to do something regrettable. You began walking Zalco over to them, attempting to bring Link's attention elsewhere.

"Hey Link, Katherine."

Putting a facade on as you pretended not to have heard their conversation. Katherine whipped her head around to look at you with absolute distain for you.

Link seemed to relax a bit upon your Appearance, as he lightened up a bit, walking over to you.

You looked over at Katherine, pretending to be all sweet and kind, as Link stayed right at your side, refusing to look anywhere near Katherine.

"Is everything alright?" While saying that, you had turned to look between Link and Katherine, making sure to keep your voice level, and your normal neutral curious.

Turning your head so you'd be looking directly into her eyes now, as you chose your words carefully and calculated.

"I thought I heard hostility in some one's voice,"

You paused, as you turned your head slightly to look at Link. He was trying to keep his focus on Epona and Zalco, as he smiled lightly at them, while petting them. Clearly not looking in your's and Katherine's direction.

Smiling a bit to yourself at the display, before turning back to Katherine, and glaring daggers at her. If looks could kill, she would be more than dead right now.

Hell, if you werent so aware of the consequences, you'd have killed her on the spot, right there and then. But you didnt, which took ever fiber in your being not to kill her for what she just pulled.

Taking a quick glance at Link, noticing how he really didnt seem to be paying much attention to the both of your's conversation.

You walked up to her, looking at her as if you were looking down on her, which you were (Metaphorically), you glared at her, as you spoke quietly and coldly, in such a threatening voice, making sure Link couldnt here your next words.

《Warning! Threatening Katherine's life with slightly graphic content!》

"If I ever hear or see you trying to pull something like that with Link ever again, I will personally skin you alive, and watch as you die a slow and painful death."

《Warning is over, it was literally one paragraph, so not much》

Katherine's head had turned to look at you so quickly, as she made eye contact with you. It was clear that she had realized that you weren't bluffing in the slightest, and that you had meant every word.

The fear in her eyes was evident and obvious to you, as you watched her go pale and stiffen up.

Taking her face in your hands, as you grabbed her face and forced her to look at you, as you growled lowly, but quietly.

"Do you understand me?"

It wasnt a question, it was a threat, and she seemed to pick up on that, as she nodded her head rather quickly.

You let her face go, as you made your way back over to Link, making sure to internally analyze his body language, to make sure he hadn't heard any of that. He had amazing hearing after all, it reminded you of a wolves hearing.

Placing a hand on his shoulder, as you smiled at him gently. He turned his head to look at you, and return the smile, as he seemed to look behind you, to where Katherine was. The fear and rudeness was wiped clean off her face now.

"Should we get going now?"

Link nodded as he went over to Epona, of course hesitating after what  had happened.

A thought had suddenly occurred to you, as you went to speak, making sure to think it through before speaking it outloud.

"Hey Link?"

He turned his head towards you, with one foot in the holster, obvious curiosity on his face.

"What's up?"

Katherine was standing behind him, ready to get on Epona, when the look of realization crossed her face.

"If you want, I can ride with Katherine on Zalco today?"

Link seemed to relax, as he hesitantly smiled at you.

"You wouldn't mind?"

Returning his sweet smile as you replied to his obvious curiosity.

"Not at all, I dont think Zalco will mind either."

With that last comment, you looked over at Zalco, who seemed to pick up on what you were implying, and was just frozen, looking between you and Katherine, before going back to whatever he was doing.

Link sighed as he relaxed, and turned to Katherine.

Katherine seemed to internally deflate as she walking over to Zalco and you, giving you a death glare, as she waited for you to get on before helping her on.

Link had climbed onto Epona while he waited for the both of you to be ready, before both horses began to make their way out of the north gate to the Village.

Katherine was obviously pissed off at you for making her ride with you, instead of Link, which gave you some satisfaction.

"I have a feeling that I'll regret this decision in the close future, but for now, I'll relish in the satisfactory of a win."
