During another fight between brother and sister in the castle halls Professor Dumbledore was showing the two new teachers around just as a crowd of students gathers their attention

Sam: whats going on over there?

A few spells fly every where however when Diana's wand gets blasted away the girl jumps on her brother and pulls him into a hand to hand combat

Bucky: interesting, I didn't expect a student to know hand-to-hand combat.

Dumbledore: These are the best students in the school. The boy who lived and the girl with the rich experience and wisdom. They are twins, but they are also rivals.

Sam: Ah the famous Potter twins.

Diana then flips and kicks Harry back making him fly back and land on his butt before the new professors

Sam: need a hand? *asks holding out his hand to help Harry up*
Bucky on the other hand tries not to laugh at how the boy landed right before them.

Meanwhile Diana moves before them wih crossed arms before her eyes widen at the sight of Bucky

Bucky's eyes widen as well only now realizing who's standing before him

Diana tears up before moving before him as well

Bucky: I didn't expect to ever see you again

Diana: Neither did I, but I'm glad. You are the closest thing I ever had to a father.

Bucky: I'm glad to hear that, by what I've seen you're still as amazing as I remember.

Diana: Do you still give hugs?

Bucky: of course, come here you *says as he opens his arms for her*

Diana squeals in return before jumping into his arms

Bucky easily catches her as he hugs her careful not to hurt her with his metal arm.

Diana: In that a new arm?

Bucky: Yeah, how does it feel and look to you?

Diana: In my opinion, this type suits you much better than the original.

Bucky: that means a lot to me coming from you.

Dumbledore: Wait.... you are the boy with who she was left 15 years ago?

Bucky: yes, my full name is James Buchanan Barnes, Bucky for short.

Dumbledore: I know that, I just couldn't believe it was you. You looked older than you are now.

Bucky: Not the first time I've heard that one

Dumbledore: I still keep the documents you wanted for parental rights. Do you still want to adopt her?

Bucky: of course, I'd be stupid to refuse

Diana: Do you still want me to be your daughter?

Bucky: Yes, without a doubt.

Sam: Alright. I'm sorry but how do you know little Miss Potter here?

Bucky: she was my protege when I while I was with hydra.

Dumbledore: Miss Potter has been entrusted to him since she was born. We decided that as her godfather he had the right to raise her as his child no matter where he was at.

Sam: I didn't know, so that's how you know each other and it also explains how she knows hand-to-hand combat.

Dumbledore: We assumed that she needed to be with someone who loved her, rather than in a family that would ruin her. Harry and Diana are radically different people. Diana is a person who, unlike her brother, would not survive with people who do not want her. So Professor McGonagall took her to James. She was sure he could recognize his own child even if he had amnesia.

Sam: I see

Diana: And I hope to cut all my connections with the Potter family after this

Bucky: let me handle all that sweetie.

Diana: I love you

Couple of months later however just as Sam and Bucky were teaching a class Harry and Diana burst into another fight with Ron, Hermione, Draco and Pansy watching from the sidelines

Sam: *sighs* Not again

Diana: Got I really wish I could kill you here and now without Voldemort needing to come back for your sorry excuse of an ass

Sam: Woah okay, that's enough you two.

Harry: What is your problem with me?
Diana: Mine? You're he one who started being an ass just because I said I prefer to never be related to you again

Harry: how can you say something like that

Diana: Because you want me to think about people who died 16 years ago. I got over their death when I was 7. In the meantime, I have a father who needs as much love as they would.

Bucky: *can't help that small smile that appears* Come here sweetie, I believe he gets it.

Diana: He didn't understand anything. If he had known, he wouldn't have harassed me like that every time. Listen Potter, if you want to live in the past, that's your right, but do me a favor and don't drag me in. I have a new life and I am happy. You are my blood relative, but I have no feelings for you and that's why I keep my distance. The only real family I ever had was a man who raised me alone in hell and kept me away from the world around us. I'm only 15, but unlike you, I've lived without magic and never wanted to come here. Bucky smiles as he kisses her back while everyone's eyes widen at that

Diana: Did you tell him about the engagement?

Bucky: I had promised her that in addition to adoption, I could give her my last name in another way.
Sam: Since when have you been engaged?
Diana: For four years. There is a country that allows me to get married at the age of 16.

all of them: Huh?!
