Lately I'm feeling alone,
Everything I hear has an off undertone,
Instead of natural light,
No color ever appears right,
And looking around,
There's only me and the ground.
I realize now
That I've become a kind-of hungry crow
-sitting on a pole,
Offer me a finger, I'll eat your arm whole,
Yet once they all leave,
There's nothing I could achieve.
Does it make sense
To desire a picket fence
While being picky
And falsely calling all tricky
Out of laziness?
-That's my unwillingness.
I chase away
Everyone willing to pay
For my mistakes.
'All those friends are snakes,'
Is the thing I lie about
To have a reason to push everyone out.
I'm no one's friend,
So why should there be anyone I should defend?
I'm no one's lover,
No one will run to me for cover.
I'm no one's daughter,
I don't bring any ageing adults laughter,
I'm no one's mother,
No one feels they owe me, I'm merely a bother.
I'm no one's sister,
Nobody asks me for help with scary tongue-twister.
I'm no one's twin,
Playing games with the mirror, I never win.
I'm no one's foe,
There's no one after whom I should go,
I'm no one's way away,
There's no one I would ever betray.
There's no one I could ever betray.
There's no one.
