~ Chapter 5 ~

Bruce POV:

I wake up in the morning with an hour and a half till school. I get up and chose an outfit.

After I chose one that looks good enough, I go in to the bathroom and go for a shower. I get in the shower turning it on and letting the warm water fall on me.

~ Time skip to after ~

I get out the shower and get changed for the day.

I head downstairs and go into my kitchen and greet my mum, dad and little sister before sitting down and eating the breakfast my mum made.

I finish up breakfast then head back upstairs into the bathroom and brush my teeth. I have around 30 minutes before school and it is a 15 minute walk so I head to my room and pack up my bag and then head out the door to get there early and meet my friends to make up for running away yesterday.

~Time Skip to when he arrives to school ~

I arrive at the school gates and instantly see my friends- well more like hear them. Billy and Griffin are arguing about some new movie they saw and Robin and Finney are standing laughing, they also linked their pinky's. They are really failing at keeping their relationship "secret".

I go up to them and Billy and Griffin stop arguing with each other and turn around to face me to lecture me about leaving them yesterday. "Bruce!" Billy starts making Robin and Finney also turn around.

"Where were you running off to so quickly yesterday?!" Billy pretty much screamed at me making almost all of the school go silent and look at us. *And now everyone is staring. God this is embarrassing* "Mhm" Griffen agreed with Billy as Robin and Finney go just stand there.

"I was running from Vance" I say quietly as for the entire school to not hear. "Wait- Vance?! As in THE 'Pinball Vance Hopper'?! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Finney more or less screams at me.

"No no no no. We were put together for a project and I didn't want to have to talk to him so I ran home but he caught me and we ended up working on it for most of the night. Turns out he is really sweet" I say defensively.

"What. The Vance Hopper, sweet?! I don't think so" Robin adds in. "He was though! His mum was so nice as well, she made us dinner and it was amazing! Me and Vance got to know each other kind of as well as that is 'part of the project' according to my teacher" I retaliate, for some strange reason feeling the need to defend him.

"Let's just go into school, ok?" Finney says, grabbing Robin's hand and walking into the building as the rest of us follow.

Again, so sorry for being away for so long but school is just a complete ass. I will be trying to upload more though.

Also we got the group properly interacting for the first time 🥳
