I walked around the city alone while, around me, the children went around in costumes and had fun, in my neighborhood there were very few so I decided to move towards the city center: the happy atmosphere among the children, took me back to when I was younger and I enjoyed it like that too, it had been a long time since I had gone out with someone. I stopped at a bar near some houses, inside there was only the bar man so I didn't have too much trouble getting in:
"good evening miss, what do you want?",
"A simple black coffee" I said as I sat down and took a newspaper left on the counter and read while waiting for my coffee.
"Are you interested in that guy too?" he asked me,
"which guy?",
"the criminal, all of today's customers spoke only of him",
"actually I don't care that much, he has already run away several times, he will do it again" the man looked at me a little worried, the criminals had never really interested me, I definitely had other problems to think about.

He took my coffee and handed it to me while taking a cup and cleaning it, at that moment a man walked into the bar: about 1.80 tall (I don't know how tall he is but he seems tall enough) in a devil costume sat next to me smiling at the Bar man who looked scared;
"g-good evening sir, can I get them something?",
"just water" his voice was low and the bar man shuddered hearing him speak,
"sure, g-give me just a second" he ran to the back of the room without turning around; I had seen a lot of weird people over the last few years, but I had never seen an adult do trick or treating.

"Hey man, aren't you a little too old to walk around in costume?" I asked, he turned to look at me from top to bottom and then look at what I ordered,
"and you shouldn't eat more? you look like a skeleton" he wasn't all wrong, my diet was very wrong:
"Touche, I'm ( Y\N) anyway "I said holding out my hand, he first looked at me again and then shakes my hand very hard,
"do you have a name or should I call you mister devil?" I laughed and he also seemed amused, "for now you can call me that" before I let go of his hand, I noticed some very obvious scratches on the hand.

"Dude, I guess you'd better wash your hands and put on some bandages, those can get infected" he looked at his hands before saying, "don't worry girl, human meat is quick to regenerate" I was a little confused by that answer , I gave an "ok" and went back to my coffee.

"I called the police, don't leave the bar man" the bar man came back with a rolling pin raised as a defense weapon ... wait, police? the man next to me stood up with his head down and then laughed: I won't be describing what happened next, but in short, I can say that the bar should have found a new employee.
"Shit, not again" said the man hearing the police sirens approaching, at which point he looked at me and pointing a knife at me said "now come with me, you are my hostage".

*TIME SKIP*

"just now I had decided not to get caught right away, shit" I was sitting against a wall with my hands tied behind my back, as he made sure no one was following him,
"so, can you tell me who you are now? Obviously the police are looking for you" he fell silent as he turned his back to me: "you can call me Bob",
"wait, that Bob? that one that-",
"escaped from prison twice? the cannibal? the devil? yes it's me, and now do silence little girl ",
"but if I'm a few years younger than you",
"shhhhh" we heard the sirens go by and then move away quickly.

"Now walking around the city will be really difficult, unless..." he turned to look at me smiling, "what do you want now?",
"nothing girl, but as long as you are my hostage I can do what I want with you"
"ok? if you want to call my parents for a ransom, believe me, they'll pay you to keep me",
"are you kidding aren't you? and you're not even afraid? I could eat you at any moment",
"you said I'm too thin, looking at you you understand well that you prefer bigger meals, no offense" he seemed really amazed, after all I was talking to a serious professional killer as if he were a perfectly normal person.

"Wow, you are really interesting (Y\N), tonight is going to be very interesting"
