Only Exception

The interview

"I said knock it out!" He raises his voice before continuing "What is wrong with you guys?! Stop acting like brats! We have an interview today and I can't have you guys squabbling over a stupid phone! I swear if you guys keep humiliating me like this I swear to God-!"

"Ahem"

The singer and the drummer stopped what they're doing, all band members looked at the source of the sound to see a male employee who looked as if he didn't want to be there. Toga immediately stopped and put her hands behind her back with a bright smile at the assistant as if to pretend she wasn't trying to snatch the singer's phone. Dabi lowered his phone to put it away in his pocket, Shigaraki tried to not look like he's embarrassed of having them as his bandmates but his forced smile and neck scratching was evident that he's fighting the urge to strangle them.

"Now that I have your attention, the host would like me to inform you of the guidelines that each member must follow." He informed nonchalantly as he looked at the clipboard and began to read the information that contained with no excitement whatsoever.

"On behalf of our staff we welcome you to the show where you will be interviewed by the host of the program you are set to go on stage" the employee motions the band to follow him as he read " Before you walk on stage you are expected to follow our set of rules:"

"Oh boy" they all thought in unison as the employee began to list the no's of the show with the band following behind.

"No foul language"
Shigaraki gave a warned glare at Dabi to which the singer ignored.

"No interrupting the host"
Toga shrugged to herself as she happily walked alongside her band mates.

"No comments about the host's receding hairline"
Twice muffled his laughter which earned him a glare by Compress to shut up.

"No sneezing-"

"How is sneezing against the rules?"
Spinner asked with an eyebrow raised looking at the intern who just kept walking.

"The host has a big fear of germs" the employee glances at Spinner and spoke in a firm tone "Especially from mutants"

The band kept walking but because the employee kept guiding them to get to the stage, he couldn't see their eyes narrowing at the words, Shigaraki kept making sure Spinner didn't make anything rash. Though he himself wants to beat the crap out of the guy for saying that and the host for it's apparent views of mutants.

But they can't risk ruining their announcement, they know how much it means for Tenko who was being a control freak over the past week. But they also know that this interview will be the reminder of why they're called The Awakening, and if they have to bite their tongue and smile for the camera so be it.

"One more thing, please refrain yourselves from using your quirks. It's not permitted to use them as our team prefers to avoid destruction of property" the intern stated as they stopped walking, the band was annoyed because of course they had a no quirk rule! Just what they needed!

The employee continued "Wait here until the host calls you guys up on stage. Don't use your quirk or talk about politics or let your pet lizard sneeze, keep him on a leash or whatever " he said as he pointed Spinner with zero fucks.

Spinner's jaw clenched and his hands formed into fists as he glared at the intern "Don't call me-"

"Break time" The guy said as he walks away not giving a fuck. Leaving the band standing there shocked and annoyed.

"Wow, what an asshole" Toga muttered aloud

"Language!" Mr Compress gasped at the drummer who had her hands on her sides.
