Hawks was sold to the commission at the early age of six. He happily agreed to it, after all what kid doesn't like being told they have a strong quirk and that they can be a hero?
If he curled his wings around himself he'd be strapped to a table and have his wings ironed. He had his long sharp talons clipped messily, too close. He had to always wear boots that couldn't fit his feet, feet that were much more bird shaped, with two longer toes ending in talons and a single on his heal which has to be forcibly shoved against his ankle to fit in the shoes.
He'd be blindfolded, drowned, hit, burned. He was only taught how to be a hero, nothing else.
If he showed his hands or his bird-like feet he'd be beaten.
His only solstice is the small Endeavor plush he hides from his handlers.
Even after becoming a hero he's not free from his handlers. So he doesn't have any friends or a social life at all and it stresses him.
He has a lot of bird qualities, meaning he can only eat meat(though the commission is sure they can change that), his heartbeat is much faster then it should be, he's had several heart attacks because of it, and if he doesn't take medication he could get seizers from the severe anxiety
