The One

"You'll find someone. I did, and so will you."

For some, it takes days, weeks, months, even years.

|

Sometimes it happens when you least expect it.

|

For others, they've known for as long as they've dreamed.

|

But there are those who gave dreamed and hoped and prayed;

Those who wait and wait and wait.

|

And never find that special someone.

|

"Not everybody is as lucky as you are.

|

I've been waiting for so long, and I have yet to find my special someone."

|

Some don't actively seek, while others believe in making their own fate by searching.

|

Sometimes, when we've waited for so long, we become desperate and do stupid things:

Chase someone who doesn't want us;

Wait for someone who's stringing us along;

Fall for every attractive person we see;

But worse of all, willingly fall into a toxic trap.

|

We want to find the one so bad,

we believe the first person who shares that reciprocated emotional connection.

|

We ignore the red flags because we want that love.

|

We want to be loved.

|

We want that special someone.

|

But that someone isn't meant for me,

Because I'm not that lucky.
