She smiled looking at me.

Strangely, I was thinking that she was suggesting me all these because I was having fertile days. That means, if all would go well, I might get pregnant with his baby.

The thought alone sent chills down my spine and my cheeks warmed up like candles.

"Jadda,"

I shivered suddenly when I heard his voice and turned to look at him.

"Assalamwalaikum,"

He wished to look at us and she wished him back.

"Walaikumassalam,"

He was looking sleepy, his hair messed up and in the same clothes, he was wearing last night. He came straight here.

He walked to us and sat on the other edge of the bed.

"Itni jaldi kyu uthti hai aap. Man nahi karta der tak sone ka?"

"Why do you wake up so early? Do not you feel like sleeping till late?"

He asked with a slightly irritated and teasing tone with that devilish smile. His grandmother smiled and looked at him with the same gestures he was giving.

"Kyu aapki Begum ko jaldi uthna pad raha hai isliye,"

"Because your wife has to wake up early for me,"

He signed.

"Hamari Begum to soti hi nahi hai, na sone deti hai. Aapka hukm baja rahi hai bass,"

"She does not sleep and does not even let me sleep. She is just following your orders,"

He said and I lowered my gaze with immense timidness. Why?

Why was he pulling my leg?

"Konsa hukm?"

"Which order?"

She asked.

And he looked at me. I silently begged him to not bring that baby talk here. And, he looked at her back.

"Babies,"

There was a disgusting silence for a few moments and then he continued.

"She was taking care of your grandchildren. Babies, my rabbits, your grandchildren,"

Seriously!

I shot a death glare at him and he laughed. His grandmother also laughed and now I could see that they both got the same sense of humour.

What was there to laugh about?

"Jokes apart, Jadda, but can I please escort your daughter-in-law for some time?"

She slowed down her laughter and answered.

"Sure, why not,"

He turned his gaze to me and lip-synced 'Come'.

"Go,"

His grandmother said and I stood up setting my dupatta over my head again.

She gave me a teasing smile and I felt even more blushed.

But, I silently just walked out of her chamber and looked at him. He gave me a winning grin and held my hand taking me back to our chamber.

He closed the door behind me and made me walk to sit on the couch. He sat on his knees against me and looked into my eyes.

"Ruhani, I seriously do not want to go,"

He said and I gulped as silence followed from his side.

"But, I equally understand your point. She cannot stay here for a lifetime and especially when we two are enough for each other and happy together. Soon, we will have our own family and run this Sultanate together as we want. I understand that she needs to leave us alone,"
