Phil's POV
It was the best day of my life, I was finally marrying the woman I loved, the one I had spent almost my entire life with up to then. That day was magical, right from dawn, when the sun came in through the window and gently woke me up, making me notice that Ellie was already awake and looking at me with a look she had never had before. It was a more affectionate look than usual, just the kind of look you would expect from someone who is about to become your wife. So I got up and sat on the bed.
"Good morning babe" I said to her.
She did not answer, instead she came over and sat on my lap putting her arms around my neck, and kissed me.
"I see you woke up happier than usual" I told her.
"Considering that we are getting married today, it seems the least" She giggled back at me.
"Well, we need to get ready" I told her.
"Yeah, I'll get ready here, how about you?"
"I will get ready at Tommy's, surely he can give me some style tips" I replied kissing her forehead
"See you later" I told her and she nodded.
I left and went to Tommy's, while Maria went to Ellie's to help her get ready. Once at Tommy's house I knocked on the door.
"Tommy! It's Phil!"
Tommy opened the door and let me in.
"How are you doing? You ready boy?" He asked
"Let's say yes," I replied.
"Well, I understand, there is always that positive anxiety when you go to get married."
"And yeah, that's right" I replied
"Come, I'll show you the dress you're going to wear" He said and took me to his and Maria's room, where he kept my dress
"Wow, that's really cool" I said excitedly.
What I was supposed to wear was simple but cool enough, it was a black tuxedo with a white shirt and strictly black bow tie. Those were my two favorite colors, so I liked it even more.
It was about 5 p.m. and the wedding would start at 6:30 p.m., so I started to get dressed, Tommy helped me to tie the bow tie
"You know, I've never worn a bow tie before," I said.
"Well, I can believe it, but it really looks good on you!" He replied
"Thank you Tommy" I said and then added.
"I wonder how Ellie must be dressing."
"Surely she won't disappoint you, after all she has Maria as her stylist" Tommy said with a giggle.
"Definitely" I replied then asked.
"Tommy, what are you going to wear instead?"
"Uh me? I'll dress a little less elegant than you, but elegant nonetheless. The groom has to shine!" He answered
Thirty minutes passed and finally he too was ready. He wore a white shirt with black pants and a black tie. It was similar to my style, only a little more understated
"Well, how do I look?" He asked
"You look 15 years younger, you know?" I replied, giggling
"Ah don't fuck with me, kid" He said laughing
"I'm not fucking with you, you look really good!" I replied
Ellie's POV
Phil left to go to Tommy's, while Maria was supposed to come to me, but she was a little late. I was sitting on the bed, and all of a sudden I heard a knock on the bedroom door.
"Come in!" I said
Dina came in and sat down next to me.
"How is the bride-to-be?" She asked
"Great, everything really looks like a dream" I replied
"I am so happy for you, you deserve it"
"Thank you Dina"
"You know, I have changed my mind a lot about Phil, he is the right person for you"
"Really? I'm glad you changed your mind about him"
Finally Maria came and she had my dress, it was beautiful. It was a completely white wedding dress with various lace details. I couldn't have asked for anything better
"Maria! You're finally here!"
"Hey Ellie, sorry for the delay but I couldn't find my way, I'll have to get used to it"
"It's okay for being late, rather Phil has seen my dress?"
"No, I was careful not to give him any clues"
"Well, did you see how he is going to dress instead?"
"Well no, I was coming to you, only Tommy knows"
Maria helped me change, and in about 30 minutes I was ready
"Ellie you look beautiful" She said to me
"Thank you so much Maria, it's also thanks to you" I replied
"Hey girls! Look how stylish JJ is!" Dina took JJ to the room and he looked adorable.
He had a little blue tuxedo that looked great on him, I rather wondered how Phil would dress, but only at the wedding would I find out
"Dina, how are you going to dress instead?" I asked her
"Uh I don't know-"
"I'll take care of it" Maria cut her off
"Perfect, you then get ready and I will be waiting for you here" I replied
It was 5:45 p.m. and they were finally ready, so we left to go back to Jackson for the wedding.
Phil's POV
Tommy and I arrived at 6:00 p.m., just half an hour early to make sure we got some issues resolved in case they arose. The wedding was to take place in what could be called Jackson City Hall, there were a lot of people there, considering it was the first wedding in town. At 6:30 p.m. we were ready and the celebration began, I stood at the altar and my hands were shaking, I had never been so nervous before. Finally I saw Ellie arrive, she was accompanied by Dina, and she was wearing a beautiful white dress. To say she was beautiful was not enough. She arrived and stood next to me, she had a big smile on her face, and I could tell she was as nervous as I was.
It was a celebration that was not very long, and I will always remember those words
"Ellie Williams, will you take Phil Price here present as your husband, promising to be faithful to him always, in sickness and in health, and to love and honour him all the days of your life?"
"I do"
"Phil Price, will you take Ellie Williams here present as your spouse, promising to be faithful to her always, in sickness and in health, and to love and honour her all the days of your life?"
"I do"
"You may kiss the bride"
Ellie and I kissed each other, my heart melted, we were finally fully married, I felt happy
"I love you Phil Price" Ellie said to me as we pulled away
"I love you too Ellie Williams" I answered her
