Hannah was still mad at me. I ate lunch with Matthew or alone. Matthew had become my best friend, and sometimes my heart needed more. I couldn't like him the way I wanted though, because I knew I needed to focus on school work. Usually I helped him with his work too, when he pretended to need it. I would tell him he needed to do it on his own, and he would do his puppy dog eyes.
"Please, for me?" He would say, and I would give in.

I awoke to a call. I looked at it, and saw that it was Hannah.
"Hello?" I said, and I heard soft sobs.
"Can you come down the hall, I need you. Please." She said and I hung up, got on my slippers and went over to her dorm room. As soon as I knocked she let me in, her eyes were puffy and red and she had been crying,
"They're gone. My brother and sister got in a car wreck, and they're gone. And to make it worse, my mom thinks it's my fault. Abbie, I'm so sorry. I need you." She said. I held her while she cried, and then she looked at the two necklaces around my neck. I took one off, and put it back onto her. She smiled, and hugged me tight. I let her come back to my place and we got dressed and decided to miss a class, though we knew homework would be impossible, who cared? (Really I did, but I got over it.) We ran around, and shopped. We had been working, and picking up and saving money here and there. My mom paid for all of the college stuff before she died with the fund that my grandpa left me. So all do my books and stuff was paid for. I had a job to buy lunch and stuff. Hannah's family paid for her also, but she had to buy the books while she went with her money she saved,
We had a day that was fun, and I had missed her, and her crazy thoughts. I missed her I don't care attitude and her brave, outspoken words. I missed my best friend, and I missed the strength she gave me.
