They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. But what if people are soulless, could you still be able to see their soul through their eyes? I wish I'd taken into account that saying about eyes. I don't think I'd be in the situation I'm in now, sitting in the witness stand during a court trial for my ex. I wish I would've paid more attention to his eyes when I met him, maybe I would have been able to look into his soul and prevent this but now I'm a witness to a murder he committed. For a man so adept at killing, his eyes were so unremarkably soft.
I never thought that I'd be in this situation. Well, who does take time to think that. I knew him for a short amount of time and the thought of him being a... killer didn't even cross my thoughts. It's not something that happens often. And I'm almost sure if it does happen that the killer of the relationship forces the other to keep quiet about it or they're both the killers. A match made in sinful heaven I'd say. There were telltale signs and red flags now that I look back on it. He wore the smell of blood and death like a sweet perfume. He ruined my life and everything I loved. And now it's my turn, so watch as I set your world on fire.
