SPECIAL CHAPTER 2

Start from the beginning

She knew to herself she can't. She attempted many times to love forward, to set him free and set herself free from the pain. But she couldn't.

Or she just doesn't want to.

Because feeling this pain just means meeting him isn't a dream. Because it means she really met him.

"The sun's setting. " Sunoo stated, eyes focused ahead of them. And that made Nari face the same direction.

And once again, she cried. But now, it's silent. She doesn't want the other to be aware of how bad she's hurting at the moment. Her heart's clenching and it's painful. It hurts.

"I love you. "

Sunoo kissed the crown of her head then answered. "And I love you more. "

Why does it hurt so much?

"Nari? "

Nari hummed as an answer as she couldn't use her own voice because she knew once she opened her mouth, she will lose control of herself.

"Can you promise me? Once the sun have set, can you promise me you'll move forward? " Sunoo tore his gaze from the sun and looked at Nari instead. Their eyes met. "Can you promise me once the sun have set, you'll free yourself? "

"I know it's hard, but it's been years already. I can't see you hurting from where I am watching you. So can you promise me you'll move forward? " Sunoo smiled, hands drying Nari's tears that are continuously rolling down her cheeks. "I want you to find a man that will make you happy. I want you to feel the goodness in life, the good side of your world. I want you to be genuinely happy without hurting, without feeling any pain. "

By now, Nari is crying so hard. But she listened because it's what Sunoo wants.

The man lifted Nari's head and guided it to look at him when she looked down after hearing what he said.

"I want to see those smiles again. " he leaned down as kissed the crown of her head. "Can you promise me, love? "

It's hard. It is so hard for Nari to say yes, to agree of what her Sun is saying. But despite of that, despite the urge to say no, she slowly nodded her head while glancing at the sun ahead of them. And seeing the sun barely visible pains her.

I.... I hate sunsets...

"Thank you. " Sunoo said, smiling.

And with that, he vanished in the thin air just like the sun, vanished on the surface. As it have finally set.

I love you.... Forever, my own sun.

-

Nari opened her eyes. Her gaze immediately landed on the sky above her. And she couldn't help but to cry upon realizing that it was all just a dream.

She painfully smiled and was about to dry the tears on her cheeks. But she soon stopped upon seeing the white flower she remembered taking with her earlier when she went at the place.

She looked ahead of him. It's the same view she had with him in her dreams and Nari couldn't help but to break down once again. She hugged her knees as she rocked her body back and forth. The sound of the waves beneath the cliff was the only thing you'll hear aside from her silent cries.

The sun is setting...

Nari stood up, hands holding the white flower. She stood at the edge of the cliff where she believes Sunoo was standing before he let go a long time ago.

"I.... " a big lump formed in Nari's throat. This is so hard to her. She attempted so many times before toove forward but it always has been a failure.

But maybe she knows why. Because maybe, she thought Sunoo wouldn't like it. But now, it's him who asked her. It's her who told her to move forward. To free herself from the pain she bears.

Nari lifted her hand that's holding the flower. She smiled as she faced the sun that is now setting.

"I promise. "

She finally sealed the promise all the while letting go the flower she was holding. A cold breeze passes her, it's as if it wrapped her frame and it made Nari smiled.

It's painful to do this but this is what he wants. It is what her sun wants.

She closed her eyes, tears streaming down her cheeks as his face smiling flashes through her mind.

You're my most beautiful moment of my life. Thank you for everything.

Then the sun have fully set as Nari's story consisting of her and him have finally reached its last page.
