"Ah right then. Right okay. Gryffindor!" Granger jumped off with a big smile and went over to the table.
"Draco Malfoy." Draco smirked at me and stepped forward
"Slytherin!" there was cheer form the table.
"Vega Malfoy." I took a shaky breath and stepped forward. I didn't know where I would be going but what I did know is that I wasn't a Slytherin.
"Oh tricky one, very tricky." I turn to my brother who looked confused at the not so easy placement of me. "The lineage vs the heart. I've only met one of your kind before." oh no
"Gryffindor!" The hat was taken off me and i gave a sorrowful gale to my brother then joined my house. I had a gut feeling that I was like my cousin. It had only happened once that the family had been sorted into a different house."
"I'm Hermonie Granger ." the girl before me introduced herself "Are you okay?" I warmed to her immediately
"not really. Is that bad thing?" I question her as the sorting went on
"No, I think it's brilliant to be different and okay to be scared. Is that your brother?" she wondered glancing over to a scowling Draco
"Yes. I knew this was going to happen. But didn't have the heart to tell him. Or my parents, there not exactly the most accepting of difference. To them a pureblood Slytherin is everything." She nodded. The Weasley boy joined his family and then
"Harry Potter." We stopped our conversation and turned our attention to the raven haired boy.
"Humm, difficult. Very difficult. Plenty of courage I see. Not a bad mind either. There's talent oh yes and a thirst to prove yourself. But where to put you? Not Slytherin eh, are you sure? You could be great you know, It's all here in your head. And Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness. There no doubt about that. No. Well if your sure it better be Gryffindor" I stood and clapped as the res to the house chanted we got Potter. I held my hand out to him.
"Vega Malfoy. I hope my brother didn't put you off making friends."
"No, he didn't." Harry shook my hand but Ronald Weasley was hesitant.
"Don't worry, my family gets that a lot." I told him "I hope that you'll see that I am worthy of this house." I turn back to Hermonie
"So have you always known your a witch?" I ask her as the ceremony continued. I kept my voice low as to not disturb anything.
"No, both of my parents are non magical." I nodded in understanding
"Well your parents might not be but research has shown that muggle born witches have one magical ancestor, we're talking way back that now every child born is a muggle and those who are a witch or wizard are the first in decades even centuries." she beamed brightly "Though a word of warning. Stay away from my brother, I accept muggle born magic, my family doesn't."
"Thank you, Vega. I can see why you're here now." everyone was sorted into their houses and Professor M tapped her glass.
"Attention please." Dumbledore stood and raised his hands
"Let the feast begin." food in the masses appeared on our tables and I laughed before serving myself, we all began talking with one another. I settled down pretty quickly with my fellow students only glancing at a scowling Draco a few times which gave me a pang of guilt which Hermione swept away with conversation. .
"Personally I think I'm going to excel in transfiguration. Out of pure annoyance yet some love for my brother I've read the book from front to back more times than I can count." Hermione laughed "Honestly for twins I'm the nicer and brighter of the two. It is a little surprising, I wasn't sorted into Ravenclaw." I jumped back seeing a ghost pop up out of the chicken leg platter.
"Hello! How are you." he chimed "Welcome to Gryffindor!" then all the schools ghost came for a visit. The one I knew more about was the bloody baron but so, so.
"Hello Sir Nicholas. Have a nice summer?" Percy Weasley wondered
"Dismal. Once again my request to join the headless hunt has been denied." he went to float off when Ron spoke
"I know you, you're nearly headless Nick." Ron chimed
"I prefer Sir Nicholas if you don't mind."
"Nearly headless?" I ask
"How can you be nearly headless?" Hermione added in confusion.
"Like this." he moved his head so it was just handing by a bit. I covered my mouth in shock and disgust
"Oh we had to ask didn't we?" I groaned to my new friend.

Once we had eaten and other announcements had been made we had all been dismissed to follow the prefects to our houses.
"Gryffindor's follow me please. Thank you." Percy called back and I leant into speak to Ron.
"Does your brother always seem like he has a stick up his butt. Or is that just me." Hermione and were walking together but I wanted to know. Ron snorted
"No he's always like that."
"This is the most direct path to the dormitories. Keep an eye on the stair cases. They like to change." He lead us to the Gryffindor tower. There were paintings on the wall that moved and talked welcoming us to Hogwarts. It was amazing when Percy wasn't hurrying us along.
" Password." The fat lady dressed in old century gown asked for
"Caput Draqconis" Percy answered and were were given entry.
"Follow me everyone. Keep up. Quickly come on." Okay he was really starting to get on my wick. The sigh left me in awe. "Gather around here. Welcome to the Gryffindor common room. Boys dormitory is upstairs and down to your left. Girls the same on your right. You'll find all of your belongings have already been brought up."
"Finally." I took Harmonies hand and dragged her upstairs, we searched for our names and were happy that we had been put together.
"I have a cat as well. This is Crookshanks." she introduced me to hers
"Wednesday." I replied back and then we set them down, the sniffed around one another before Crookshanks started to groom Wednesday. Soon all of us were getting ready for bed. I however couldn't sleep so I went into the common room and stared at the burning fire.
