"We are gathered here today..." Elise uncomfortably joked in an officiant-like voice, "to discuss the situation of the keys."
Amelia sunk down in her chair, staring at her folded napkin. The last time she saw both David and his wife were two separate instances where she was actively between Elise's legs.
Richie was seated at the opposite end of the table, fully aware of the situation(s) that called for this family dinner and chuckled to himself.
"We need to establish some boundaries regarding usage of the house keys..." Elise said anxiously twisting the necklace her girlfriend gave her, "So Amelia and I---"
"Can spare us all the sight of you eating something other than this dinner later?" David interjected hilariously.
"DAVID!" Richie cleared his throat and struggled to hold back a laugh.
Amelia turned red, but couldn't contain herself and started cracking up. Daniella followed suit bursting into laughter while rubbing her forehead.
Elise shot them all a look then immediately broke her stoic demeanor, smiling yet mortified.
"Well, he's not wrong..." Amelia said still a bit embarrassed.
"OH GEEZ!" everyone else said in unison.
"What?!? David brought it up!" Amelia added cheekily, "Nice to see you again by the way."
This was the only time since sitting down she was able to look anyone in the eye.
"Let me take this over." Richie said still grinning. "No one, and I mean not one of us, should be using the house key unless it is a DIRE emergency. Furthermore, even if you have standing plans to be on Long Island or at the house, text upon arrival and ring the goddamn bell!" In case I'm not being clear, this rule also applies to Elise's house in Florida. He took a sip of water before continuing:
"As for you two," Richie directed his gaze toward Amelia and Elise, "if you are going to fuck like bunnies and land yourselves in a lesbian sex abyss, PLEASE... for the sake of everyone in the Boca Raton or Long Island vicinity, attempt to keep in contact with the outside world."
Everyone was bursting at the seams by now and all they could manage was a nod. David appeared to be having flashbacks, as did Amelia. She shifted in her seat.
"Okay, now that we have established house protocol, can we enjoy food with some actual nutritional value?" Daniella couldn't help herself and everyone exploded.
"Dani!" Elise wiped hysterical tears from her eyes. "That's it! I'm grabbing the Chinese food from the kitchen. Unless we want to do this buffet style?"
The family silently agreed and left the table for the direction of takeout.
Upon return, Richie broke the hungry silence. "I'd say that went well. Cheers to the VERY happy couple!" Glasses toasted mixing with giggles.
Elise squeezed Amelia's inner thigh under the table. She gasped and started coughing.
"Wrong pipe." She barely got the words out while hitting her chest.
Elise smirked, pleased with herself. She licked leftover red wine off of her lips and winked when no one else was looking. Then, she trailed her nails along Amelia's thong.
Amelia bit her lip. She felt a gush and wondered if she left evidence on the chair.
When everyone went back to eating, Elise leaned over and discreetly whispered in Amelia's ear, "Did you think I wouldn't feel that, sweetheart?"
It was at that moment Amelia decided that she would not only keep her legs tightly crossed for the rest of her time in that seat, but also be the last person to leave the table for the rest of the night.
