11 feb 2022 dear maple, valentines day is coming up, so i tried to get this letter sent before it comes. do you have someone to spend your time with? if not, maybe i can send you a box of chocolates with my next letter. i don't have anyone to care for on holidays like this, and it does get lonely, but i don't mind too much. how could i, when you're always blessing me with your weirdly poetic words? seriously, i'll never understand how you can come up with such metaphors. i always feel extraordinary when i read them... you did say you want to become a poet, right? i believe you can, and you should. there doesn't seem to be any career better suited to you. sincerely, [pen name] ♡
18 feb 2022 dear [pen name], i didn't spend valentines day with anyone in particular. it's a kind-hearted holiday, but i don't find myself immersed in it, so i decided to write this instead. numerous people confessed their feelings for me, but as the wind carried their hearts to me, my heart has been captured by another. i appreciate your offer of chocolates, but i wouldn't want to be troublesome in any way. it surprises me that you have yet to find someone to share such lovely holidays with, but i'm glad my letters help ease your loneliness. what would be the purpose of this, if i could not at least settle your heart?
i care deeply for my poetry, and my chest feels much lighter at knowing you believe in this dream the way i do. i dearly hope you can find your own happiness, and grasp onto it with the fierce determination you've shown thus far. sincerely, maple ♡
24 feb 2022 dear maple, thank you for your kind wishes ♡ i do have my own goals, though i may have failed to mention them before. i plan on achieving them, so worry not! i'll definitely find my way there somehow.
on another note, how many people is "numerous"? that word makes me imagine twenty people, confessing their undying love for you. i wouldn't be too shocked if such a thing did happen, considering how eloquent you are. i wonder if you have a pretty face to accompany your pretty writings (not that it matters to me, of course). i'm also waiting on an elaboration on whoever managed to capture your heart! i'd love to hear all about them, unless you'd prefer to save yourself the embarrassment.
