"Yo Haitani.."

Ran turns his head to see Mochi walk up to him and Rindou.

Ran- "What's up?"

Mochi- "South wants a word with us."

Ran wanted to roll his eyes but refrained from it.

South is in charge now that he beat up all the former executives of Tenjiku and the LAST thing he wants to do is piss him off.

Ran- "Be right there, just give us a sec..."

Mochi huffs in annoyance.

Mochi- "Don't keep him waiting...You know how he gets..."

Rindou scoffs.

Rindou- "Don't remind us.."

Ran- "We won't be long."

Mochi nods and walks off.

Ran sighs for a bit then looks down a bit.

Rindou- "What's on your mind?"

Ran looks away a bit.

Rindou- "Unless I already know..."

Ran sighs.

They hadn't been in prison for a week and he already hates it.

Not because he's stuck in a place full of other delinquents but because he knows ABSOLUTELY nothing about you.

He's heard from guards that he has been receiving letters and calls and even has a visitor, but he would decline each one.

They wouldn't say WHO.

But he doesn't need to hear a name.

Because he already KNOWS.

And he wants to keep a safe distance to avoid putting you in any potential danger.

As far as he knows, no one else besides his brother know about his relationship with (Y/N), and mentioning it now or ever could ruin his plans.

He knows he's probably left you heartbroken and you probably hate him by now.

But he tolerates the feeling.

Its for the best..

Is what he would tell himself.

He knows (Y/N) could find someone better than him.

Someone who can protect you better than he can.

But then he thought about it.

What if something happens to you and he doesn't know about it.

What if your next boyfriend puts you in any worse danger than he thought he'd put you through if he kept in contact with you.

'Dammit...'

He knows its probably just him overthinking about it.

But why does it all sound so damn convincing?
