My phone buzzes repeatedly from across the room.
I don't want to move. I don't want to think right now.
But I get up off the floor and walk to the nightstand where my phone rests.

It's Alex calling.
I pick up. I try to sound like I haven't been dead staring at the wall for hours. "You've reached Fort Pinta's Minister of Tourism! Every minute is 20 Jorvik Shillings out of your bank account."

"Cut the shit, James. This is urgent. Get to Lisa's house NOW. Something.." She pauses. "Something went wrong and we need you."

I nod though she can't see me. "Okay. Can I bring Rania?"
"I don't care what you do, just come now!" Alex hangs up.

I wonder what happened.
