Hello, I'm back just for a quick intro to Part Two, that will be disconnected to whatever will happen in the future seasons of the show 😎

I've been reading some parts of Tolkien's letters and "Morgoth's Rings" and I had to highlight this line:

"the Elves are not wholly good or in the right. Not so much because they had flirted with Sauron"

Let's ask if it sounds familiar to Galadriel 🤣 and also to Celebrimbor and all the elves he had charmed so easily 😏

I also found other interesting parts that are helping me to study better his character, since  we now know who he really is while the other characters in my story don't and maybe won't find out for a long time.
He managed to deceive Galadriel, who's very ancient too, while my Luthien is just a mortal girl and he is like free to play with her as much as he likes, just like he will do with the Kings of Men and all the people that will serve him.

Here's few extracts that caught my attention:

"Sauron was of course not ‘evil’ in origin. He was a ‘spirit’
corrupted by the Prime Dark Lord, Morgoth. He was given an opportunity of repentance, when Morgoth was overcome, but could not face the humiliation of recantation, and suing for pardon; and so his temporary turn to good and ‘benevolence’ ended in a greater relapse, until he became the main representative of Evil of later ages. But at the beginning of
the Second Age he was still beautiful to look at, or could still assume a beautiful visible shape – and was not indeed wholly evil, not unless all ‘reformers’ who want to hurry up with ‘reconstruction’ and ‘reorganization’ are wholly evil, even before pride and the lust
to exert their will eat them up"

"Sauron had never reached a stage of nihilistic madness. He
did not object to the existence of the world, so long as he could  do what he liked with it. He still had the relics of positive purposes, that descended from the good of the nature in which  he began: it had been his virtue (and therefore also the cause
of his fall, and of his relapse) that he loved order and co-
ordination, and disliked all confusion and wasteful friction"

"Manwe knew of Sauron, of course. He had commanded Sauron to come before him for judgement, but had left room for repentance and ultimate rehabilitation. Sauron had refused and had fled into hiding. Sauron, however, was a problem that Men had to deal with finally: the first of the many concentrations of Evil into definite power-points that they would have to combat,
as it was also the last of those in 'mythological' personalized
(but non-human) form"

"Now in that hill was the abode
of one most evil; and the road
that from Beleriand thither came he watched with sleepless eyes of flame" 🔥
