i lean back on my bed and we talk about what we want to do in the future. what we wanted our wedding to look like, and compromising plans.

who we wanted at the wedding, i voted no for her father but she voted yes because she had nobody to walk her down the aisle

'well it's not like he's "sending" you off, he pretty much gave you away for marriage' i tell her, but instantly regret it when i see her eyes swell up with tears

'take that back' she says frowning, her croaky voice breaking as she talks

'i'm sorry.' i apologise 'what if we found someone else to walk you down the aisle?'

'like who?' she asks, holding my hand as we lay down on my bed and stare at the roof. it's dark but the moonlight shining through the window was enough to see the outlines of eachother

'maybe sirius?' i suggest 'pftt. not a chance' she scoffs almost immediately

'okay... lucius?' i ask 'nope.' she replies

'can we talk about this another time?' she asks. 'yes love. we have all the time in the world.' i tell her, holding her in my chest

we fall asleep in each others arms, peacefully. it was the most relaxed i've felt in a while.

amirah norwood;
~
we don't hate each other anymore, we're suddenly getting married and we're not even upset about it. it's crazy how fast things happen.

the last thing i can remember from last night was how it was the most comfortable i've felt in a long time. it was safe.

i'm back in my dorm, doing my makeup in the mirror so i can go see my friends.

i finish my makeup and put on a dark green long sleeve shirt and a black mini skirt, with stockings and my puffer coat, i put on some converse to finish it off and
spray my favourite perfume on myself before leaving my dorm

i find florence sitting by the fire, reading a book. it looks to be about magical marine life or something, but i could be wrong.

i've never really appreciated how peaceful the common room really is with the fire crackling and the sound of book pages being gently turned.

the sound of the muffled chatting amongst student outside, or in their dorms.

'hey amirah' florence smiles kindly, throwing me off from my previous thoughts. i smile back 'hey florence'

'come sit down' she invites, patting the seat next to her and closing her book

i walk over to her and sit beside her on the comfy sofa. 'what are you planning on doing today?' she asks me

'i'm not sure, do you want to do something together?' i ask her

'sure' she replies in a sweet tone. we both stand up and start walking down the hallway towards the greenhouses, where the herbology classes are taught.

'do you like painting?' she asks me

'yes, i'm not really good at it, i love trying to though'. we both chuckle

'we can do some painting?' she suggests

'that sounds good' i smile

when we get to the greenhouse we search through an old cabinet and find a couple canvases, paints and paint brushes. it's odd that they have them in the room with all the plants, but i didn't think much of it.

we leave the greenhouse and sit on the grass, and look at the area surrounding us

we begin painting, but don't say much. painting is one of those things that can be done in silence without it being awkward.
